POSITION SUMMARY:

Global Atlantic, a KKR company, is seeking a Human Capital Business Partner who will support the Insurance division. The role will be based in Des Moines, Iowa and will report to the Senior Human Capital Business Partners for the Insurance division.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role will be responsible for day-to-day execution and Human Capital (HC) support for the Insurance functions. Some key activities include:

  • Working closely with Senior Human Capital Business Partners on HC strategy and key projects which could include – data analysis requests, headcount planning, talent management projects, diversity initiatives, training and professional development, compensation frameworks, mid-year and year-end roundtable processes, year-end compensation process, succession planning, and engagement surveys.
  • Managing headcount reporting/tracking with Comp and FP&A teams, including managing open roles and other key processes Workforce Planning processes in OrgVue and Greenhouse.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on recruiting activities including but not limited to search firm identification, interfacing with search firms, offer approvals and on-boarding and new hire assimilation.
  • Managing all immigration cases within business area coverage.
  • Supporting employee relations matters, as appropriate.
  • Helping drive the Program Analyst and Associate process including the promotion and departure process and program offerings.
  • Serve as part of the Actuarial Student Committee representing Human Capital and run the Actuarial Rotation Student Program.
  • As with any growing, changing and evolving team, this individual will be expected to remain flexible and help support other key global HR initiatives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience. 
  • Minimum 8-10 years of Human Capital experience with specific experience as an HC Business Partner or generalist experience supporting senior leaders.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills and experience leveraging data to diagnose problems and drive solutions. Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are imperative to moving the business forward.
  • Ability to work both independently and as an active member of both business and HC teams, both as a strategic advisor and hands on contributor.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES

  • Professional designation in HR a plus
  • A combination of HC experience in the following areas: organizational design, succession planning, performance management, diversity and inclusion, business consulting, compensation and rewards, recognition programs, employee engagement, coaching and development, talent management, conflict resolution, talent acquisition, data analysis, and employee relations.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to work well across different functions in order to integrate HC and business strategies.
  • Clear intellectual curiosity with the drive and potential to succeed in a fast-paced work environment, having shown comfort with the ambiguity of an evolving, dynamic firm.
  • Self-starter – someone who “rolls up his/her sleeves and gets things done”; has high energy; a strong work ethic; displays the ability to work independently; be creative; and entrepreneurial.
  • Proven record of impact and influence at the senior leadership level and demonstrated ability to build positive trusting partnerships with all levels of employees.
  • Proven ability to diagnose issues, drawing on both professional experience and strategic thinking skills to drive appropriate solutions.
  • Exceptional listening skills and ability to relate to, influence, consult with and coach all levels in the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; high quality document preparation and presentation skills.
