The Agent Compensation Specialist is responsible for researching and reconciling commission transactions, identify commission discrepancies and processing policy corrections, reviewing and validating commission statements & payments, and managing year-end 1099-NEC agent tax process.  This position will draw upon strong research skills, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify solutions.  The Compensation Specialist will need to be a quick learner, self-starter, detailed oriented, organized and a team player.  Join our Global Atlantic Operations team in Batesville, Indiana

  • Daily commission validation by researching, reconciling and correcting complex commission transactions in for all levels within the hierarchy.
  • Analyze compensation transactions to determine if manual payment or exception is required based on the best solution for the agent and the company.
  • Monitor, research and identify variances between commissions earned versus paid. Process necessary commission adjustments to offset net payments.
  • Ability to perform and effectively report the results of the system and manually calculated commission and commission statement.
  • Create and monitor Firm commission schedules. Work with IT to facilitate, maintain and quality check the loading of schedules. 
  • Manage and validate the annual agent 1099 NEC taxation process.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining customized payroll models for non-direct pay Firms based on their hierarchy structure.
  • Monitor and provide timely response to customer requests while maintaining operational measures of responsiveness and quality.
  • Process payable commission/reserving transactions to offset existing debit balances.
  • Support time-sensitive projects based on department goals and initiatives.
  • Develop professional and dependable working relationships with the Agency team, across the organization and with external customers.
  • Identify and escalate trends, issues and make recommendations for change.
  • Support Commission, Debit Balance and Agent Licensing phone queues.
  • Cross train and work across lines of business to back up the Debit Balance, Agent Licensing and Commission teams.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Proven ability to grasp quickly and effectively to new or changing procedures.
  • Motivated self-starter.
  • Demonstrated exception research, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify solutions.
  • Strong software skills, including Microsoft Office Advanced Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated high quality performance and ability to multi-task and focus on detailed work while meeting deadlines.
  • Exhibited attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Established excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Professional phone presence and presentation.
  • Demonstrated team player and ability to effectively work in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and composure in dealing with difficult situations.
  • Demonstrated flexibility with schedules.
  • Prior experience in the Financial Services industry with knowledge of Insurance and Agent Compensation a plus.

Various jurisdictions have passed pay transparency laws that require companies provide salary ranges for any positions for which they are accepting applications. Global Atlantic has offices in Atlanta, Batesville, Bermuda, Boston, Des Moines, Hartford, Indianapolis, and New York City. The base salary range posted below is inclusive of the lowest cost of living geography to the highest in which we have a Global Atlantic office. 

Global Atlantic’s base salary range is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. Base pay is just one component of Global Atlantic’s total compensation package for employees and at times we hire outside the boundaries of the salary range. Other rewards may include annual cash bonuses, long-term incentives (equity), generous benefits (including immediate vesting on employee contributions to a 401(k), as well as a company match on your contributions), and sales incentives.  Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Compensation for our more senior positions have a larger component of short-term cash bonus and long-term incentives. 

 

The base salary range for this role is

$36,000 - $69,000 USD
