This is an opportunity to join a high-caliber actuarial group operating at the intersection of valuation, modeling, and capital strategy — in one of the world’s most dynamic reinsurance markets.

The Opportunity

The Associate Actuary will support all aspects of the Bermuda model production process, acting as a bridge between our onshore model development team and key stakeholders in valuation, finance, and risk. This role offers exposure to complex life and annuity business, evolving regulatory frameworks, and a broad range of modeling and analytics challenges.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the end-to-end production process for all Best Estimate Liability (BEL) projections under the Bermuda Economic Balance Sheet (EBS) framework.
  • Deliver accurate, timely model outputs to the valuation and finance teams.
  • Perform and interpret stress and sensitivity testing to inform management decision-making.
  • Partner with the valuation team to analyze results and communicate insights clearly.
  • Collaborate with the onshore model development team to validate, refine, and enhance ALFA-based cash-flow models.
  • Onboard new reinsurance transactions, integrating new models into the valuation framework.
  • Prepare clear, comprehensive documentation supporting internal governance, audit, and regulatory reviews.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in the (re)insurance industry.
  • ASA designation (or equivalent), actively pursuing Fellowship (FSA or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience with actuarial modeling systemsMG-ALFA preferred.
  • Strong understanding of life and annuity products and valuation frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Python or similar coding languages a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with Bermuda EBS and/or asset adequacy testing (CFT) advantageous.
