Position Overview

The Sector Analytics team works with investment teams and other stakeholders to provide quantitative solutions to investment and asset management. The team maintains asset cashflow models that cover the majority of the Insurance investment portfolio. These models are continually being improved as new investments are onboarded to the platform. This is an exciting opportunity to be one of the architects of the Beacon risk system, the firm’s Python-based risk management environment. An ideal candidate will combine a strong background in quantitative analytics with some prior understanding of finance and fixed income investment products. This is a highly collaborative position, which will require strong communication skills across many different areas of Risk as well as Investments, Actuarial and Finance.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior team members to address various requests from investment teams and other stakeholders
  • Build out and improve end-to-end processes focused on providing cashflows and analytics for a diverse array of fixed income investments
  • Analyze historical asset performance data, identify key drivers and create business intelligence reports
  • Utilize scalable technologies to enhance the efficiency of various investment analytics processes
  • Contribute to the development and testing of new asset modeling frameworks
  • Work with other team members to build investment-oriented applications and Tableau dashboards Address time-sensitive requests for live trades

Primary Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong academic record in pursuit of bachelor or graduate degree with concentrations and/or interests in math, statistics, computer science or related technical fields graduating in May 2027
  • Strong analytic, programming and database skills
  • Experience with Python is preferred
  • Experience with SQL and Excel is a plus
  • Understanding of various asset classes, such as fixed income, equities, credit, foreign exchange, derivatives and risk management concepts
  • Strong project management, verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with people of varying backgrounds
  • Strong sense of business ethics

This is the expected annual base salary range for this New York-based position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.

Base Salary Range

$100,000 - $110,000 USD
