Space Operations Integrator (VSFB)
Job Description
Galaxia Technologies Inc. is seeking a Space Operations Integrator to support the development of Operational Space Command and Control best practices in support of critical national security missions. This role will provide subject matter expertise and strategic guidance related to software resiliency and availability, supply chain security, and secure operational processes for space programs.
This position is located at Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA and supports collaboration with the Space Systems Command’s Battle Management Command, Control and Communications, and Intelligence (BMC3&I) Program Executive Office’s Space C2 Program Management Office. The selected candidate will contribute to the development, deployment, modernization, and expansion of Space C2 capabilities while coordinating daily with government and partner stakeholders including Program Managers, Contracting Officers, System Engineers, and external mission partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice to Program Managers and senior Space Force leadership on acquisition strategies, contracting approaches, budgeting, and program execution.
- Support requirements development, systems design, testing, systems integration, and tactical/operational command and control analysis.
- Gather, process, and analyze military tactical and operational data in support of mission planning and operations.
- Assist with securely scaling prototype systems into enterprise operational space applications.
- Support the development and refinement of acquisition strategies and identify program execution issues with recommended corrective actions.
- Develop presentation materials, status briefings, and strategic communication products for government stakeholders.
- Conduct program business case analyses and risk assessments and provide actionable recommendations to support favorable program outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support the modernization and sustainment of operational space command and control capabilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 10+ years of experience; or Master’s Degree and 8+ years of experience.
- 8+ years of progressive experience as a space operator and/or space systems integrator leading large scale/complex enterprise efforts.
- Experience implementing large-scale, highly available, complex software services and application solutions.
- Experience supporting Department of Defense Space Command and Control mission areas.
- In-depth experience with Department of Defense program acquisition processes and documentation.
- Ability to work effectively with senior leadership, program managers, contracting personnel, system engineers, and partner organizations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including development of briefings, presentations, and strategic communications.
- Active or recent TS clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance and willing to take a CI polygraph.
Highly Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting the Combined Space Operations Center (CSpOC) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in planning and executing global space operations.
- Experience developing best practices for maintenance, administration, engineering, architecture, development, patching, and upgrades of applications and systems used for space operations.
- Understanding of enterprise IT change and configuration management policies and their application to operational systems, software, and devices.
- Experience managing system configuration and monitoring changes to improve system effectiveness, efficiency, and logical access control enforcement.
- Experience supporting a tactical or operational space operations unit.
- Knowledge of Software Acquisition Pathway and DevSecOps practices.
- Familiarity with Department of War software acquisition practices, including DoDI 5000.87.
- Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Pay Range:
$150,000 – $225,000 base compensation.
This range represents the good-faith estimate of the base compensation we expect to pay for this role at the time of hire. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, qualifications, and geographic location. In addition to base compensation, we offer excellent benefits.
