Who You Are:
We're looking for an Operations - Exchange Onboarding Engineer to support our Core Systems, Settlement and Custody team. You will be responsible for contributing to the development and maintenance of critical software applications that facilitate settlement and custody operations. This role requires a strong understanding of Java development principles, as well as familiarity with settlement and custody processes within the financial industry.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop inventory management tool
- Apply principles of Domain Driven Design
- Build resilient, self-healing distributed services
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of professional programming experience in the financial services industry
- Experience with dependency injections frameworks, ideally: Spring
- Full lifecycle development of a commercial system, including requirements definition, agile planning, releasing, and production support
- Required skills:
- Core Java (version 8.0 and above)
- JPA
- Java Framework: either Vert.x or Spring
Bonus Points:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment and multitask
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with good communication skills
- Strong work ethic and a great attention to detail
- Analytical
- Self-starter with a strong desire to make processes more efficient
- Skills:
- Kafka (producers, consumers, streams)

The base salary ranges included below will be commensurate with candidate experience, expertise and local market. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise. At Galaxy, we maintain a total compensation philosophy which consists of a competitive base salary, annual bonus, and equity incentives.
Base Salary Range
$140,000 - $160,000 USD
