Who You Are:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and supporting the physical security systems that help protect our facilities, assets, and personnel. This includes assisting with the operation of the Genetec access control and camera systems, ensuring all activity is properly observed, logged, and reported. The candidate should have strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn basic security technology and dispatch procedures in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Monitor Security Systems: Observe cameras, alarms, and access control systems to ensure the safety of personnel and property.
- Coordinate Response: Dispatch security officers and communicate with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
- Incident Reporting: Log all activities, security events, and unusual occurrences accurately and promptly.
- Access Management: Support entry and exit procedures for staff, visitors, and vendors, following established security protocols.
- Communications: Serve as the central point of contact for on-site security operations and maintain constant radio or phone communication with field personnel.
- System Support: Assist with basic troubleshooting of cameras, alarms, and access systems; escalate issues to technical staff when needed.
- Documentation: Maintain shift logs, create incident reports, and ensure all records are complete and accurate.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the security team, contractors, and site management to support daily operations.
- The role will report onsite in Afton, Texas.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Security Management, or a related field.
- 1–2 years in security, dispatch, emergency communications, or a related customer service role preferred.
- Basic technical knowledge of physical security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and perimeter security.
- Basic understanding in security system design, installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Experience with security management software and integration with IT systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop effective mitigation strategies
- Advanced Microsoft products knowledge i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.
- Experience in writing and submitting daily reports
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually, and be comfortable working for long periods by yourself
- Must be able to work various shifts up to 12 hours at a time, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime when required.

- Currently holding a valid Texas Security Officer (TOPS) Level 3 Certification
