Who You Are
The Data Center Facilities Manager is responsible for the strategy, management, and execution of facilities and workplace operations across the company's data center offices, field locations, and supporting properties. This role oversees office operations, fleet management, workplace services, uniform programs, facilities vendors, and non-critical property operations.
What You’ll Do
Data Center Facilities & Workplace Management
- Lead facilities operations for all data center offices, including existing and future locations.
- Manage office space planning, workplace standards, and employee experience initiatives.
- Oversee office buildouts, renovations, moves, and workplace improvement projects.
- Manage relationships with landlords, property managers, and office service providers.
- Ensure offices are maintained to company standards for safety, functionality, and appearance.
- Oversee reception, visitor management, badging, mail services, office supplies, and workplace amenities.
Fleet & Field Operations Support
- Develop and manage the fleet and vehicle program.
- Oversee vehicle procurement, maintenance, registration, insurance, and utilization.
- Manage fuel card programs, fleet policies, and vendor relationships.
- Support field teams with equipment, vehicles, and operational logistics.
Workforce Support Programs
- Manage uniform program and partner with EHS on PPE requirements.
- Establish standards and processes for procurement, distribution, replacement, and inventory management.
- Partner with Human Resources and Operations to support employee onboarding and workplace readiness.
- Manage culinary program development and vendor relationship.
Property & Site Support
- Oversee non-critical property operations at office, warehouse, and support facilities.
- Manage grounds maintenance, landscaping, waste services, storage facilities, and related site services.
- Coordinate site logistics, deliveries, and facilities support activities.
- Support physical security initiatives in partnership with Security and Operations teams.
Vendor & Contract Management
- Develop and manage relationships with facilities service providers and contractors.
- Negotiate and administer contracts for janitorial, security, landscaping, maintenance, furniture, and workplace services.
- Establish service-level expectations and performance metrics for key vendors.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
Real Estate & Portfolio Support
- Support corporate real estate strategy and portfolio planning.
- Assist with office site selection, lease administration, and occupancy planning.
- Coordinate facilities requirements for new office openings and future headquarters initiatives.
- Partner with leadership on workplace growth and expansion plans.
Compliance & Operational Excellence
- Ensure compliance with workplace, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, alongside EHS team.
- Establish facilities standards, policies, and operating procedures across the organization.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to support scalability and operational excellence.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Real Estate, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive facilities, workplace, property management, or operations experience.
- Experience managing multi-site facilities portfolios across multiple geographic locations.
- Experience leading vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and facilities budgets.
- Strong project management, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Bonus Points
- Experience supporting infrastructure or data center organizations.
- Experience managing facilities operations during periods of rapid company growth.
