About the Role
We are seeking a Funds Flow & Reconciliation Manager to lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of our funds flow and reconciliation processes. This role is critical to ensuring reliable money movement, accurate reconciliation across associations and partners, and strong collaboration with bank partners and clients.
The Funds Flow & Reconciliation Manager will own the end-to-end process for implementing and updating funds flow configurations, oversee reconciliation activities, and gradually take ownership of finance-adjacent functions.
Key Responsibilities
Funds Flow Ownership
- Own the implementation and configuration of funds flows for new programs.
- Manage updates and optimizations to existing funds flow to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. .
- Partner with product, engineering and risk teams to streamline funds flow processes and support new product launches.
- Develop and maintain documentation of funds flow processes, controls, and change management.
Reconciliation
- Partner with Finance to transition and ultimately own finance-adjacent functions.
- Ensure reconciliation and funds flow processes align with accounting and financial reporting standards..
- Own the support for Association Reconciliation and error resolution, using trends and reporting to help drive change to better support our bank partners.
Data & Technical Skills
- Use SQL and reporting tools to monitor team performance.
- Build queries and dashboards to track variances, settlement performance, and process KPIs.
- Partner with data and engineering teams to enhance automation, controls, and reporting capabilities.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Support
- Act as a primary point of contact for banks and clients regarding reconciliation and funds flow.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members on reconciliation practices, settlement processes and system usage.
- Support audits and examinations by maintaining thorough process documentation and evidence of controls.
- Drive continuous improvement in funds flow and reconciliation efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in financial services, fintech, banking, or payments, with a strong focus on reconciliation and funds flow operations.
- Proven experience with payment settlement processes and reconciliation across multiple rails (ACH, card networks, wires, RTP, FedNow).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple implementations and reconciliation processes simultaneously.
- Solid understanding of payment systems, banking processes, and financial regulations.
- Experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with experience engaging banks, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, or data analysis tools is a plus.
US-Based Base Compensation
$134,400 - $150,000 USD
