Resident Designer, Creative & Brand Strategy

Gallery Media Group includes women’s lifestyle brand PureWow and a collection of social-first media brands, such as @cocktails, @moms, @recipes and @ballplayers on Instagram and TikTok that reach over 200M consumers. Additionally, GMG has an expansive experiential arm rooted in Gallery Houses—a fusion of social content, creators, and cultural moments at scale—and a robust influencer marketing business. The company was founded in 2010 by CEO, Ryan Harwood, and is now part of VaynerX, the Gary Vaynerchuk-owned holding company.
We're hiring a Resident Designer for a three-month, fixed-term role. The role will report into the SVP of Creative & Brand Strategy and play an important role in concepting, designing and developing sales & digital marketing materials. Become an expert in translating GMG’s brand identity into inspiring creative assets and presentations. The position is 40 hours a week (Monday-Friday) and pays $17 per hour. It is a hybrid role with 1-2 times a week in our Hudson Yards office.
Responsibilities:
- Design visually-compelling presentations with a refined aesthetic for branded campaigns, pitch decks & tentpole packages.
- Co-create a wide range of digital creative assets, such as web/social mocks, custom series logos & event invitations.
- Update proposal & post-campaign templates for internal and external use.
- Ensure our branding and design standards are maintained across all internal and external materials.
- Work cross-functionally with our in-house design team to learn & assist in creating innovative and timely assets for both editorial and brand campaigns.
Qualifications:
- 1-2+ years of digital design experience, ideally in developing marketing materials
- Strong sense of visual design, including typography, layout, balance, hierarchy, proportion, color, emphasis and consistency
- Fluency with presentation softwares, such as Google Slides, Keynote, Powerpoint
- Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
- A creative problem solver and strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
- A consumer of current events, social media, and pop culture
- Excellent communication skills. Comfortable sharing rationale behind design-based decisions
- Willingness to collaborate with other designers and creative/brand strategists
Salary:
$17 an hour
