Legal Counsel

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Counsel to join our dynamic in-house legal team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a lawyer with 2+ years of post-qualification experience to support a broad range of legal matters in a fast-paced, multinational business environment.
You will work closely with business stakeholders across departments and geographies, providing legal guidance on corporate governance, data privacy, commercial contracting, compliance, and general legal issues. This role requires a collaborative mindset, excellent judgment, and a business-oriented approach to legal problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Corporate Legal Support: Advise on corporate governance, subsidiary management, corporate structuring, and regulatory compliance matters.
- Commercial Contracting: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including service agreements, vendor and partner contracts, NDAs, and licensing arrangements.
- Data Privacy: Support data privacy compliance efforts, including GDPR and other global data protection regulations; assist with data processing agreements and privacy policies.
- Legal Risk Management: Identify legal risks and propose practical, business-aligned solutions across a range of operational and strategic activities.
- Legal Operations: Contribute to the development and maintenance of legal templates, playbooks, internal processes, and knowledge management systems.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across HR, IT, Finance, Marketing, and Compliance to provide day-to-day legal advice and support.
- Other Duties: Assist with litigation management, employment law matters, internal investigations, and special projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Qualified solicitor or barrister in the UK (or another common law jurisdiction with the ability to practice in the UK).
- 2+ years of relevant post-qualification legal experience in-house or at a law firm, preferably with exposure to multinational business operations.
- Strong experience with commercial contracts, corporate legal matters, and data privacy.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize workload, and work independently.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- High ethical standards and sound legal judgment.
- Fluent English is required, additional languages such as German, Arabic or both would be an advantage
- Availability to work on-site at Gallup’s London office at least three days a week.
- Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.
