Director of Multimedia
Lead Gallup’s multimedia evolution — transforming our research and advice into content that shapes global conversations about work and life.
As a director of multimedia at Gallup, you’ll build and lead a modern multimedia operation that turns our research, survey data and trend insights into substantive, platform-native video and audio content. You’ll be both a hands-on creator and strategic leader — elevating standards, growing team capability, increasing output velocity, integrating AI tools to unlock scale, and mentoring designers through metrics, coaching and a high-trust culture.
What You’ll Do
- Architect and lead Gallup’s multimedia operations, implementing repeatable, scalable and optimized delivery models across all media output
- Lead the multimedia team, guiding team development, change management and alignment with senior stakeholders
- Define and implement production standards, including project management rigor and AI adoption within delivery workflows
- Oversee resource and capacity management to ensure projects are properly staffed and strategically prioritized
- Establish and maintain production infrastructure, including digital asset management systems and project management tools
- Proactively mitigate production risks, solve workflow bottlenecks and improve project speed, quality and reliability
Who We Want
- Data storytellers who instinctively see how to turn complex research and statistics into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with leaders
- Hands-on builders who love making things, not just talking about strategy, and who lead by example alongside their team
- Process architects who have created production systems, workflows or standards that increased output and accountability
- Editorial purists who insist on clarity, rigor and intellectual credibility in every piece of content
- Modern creators who are actively integrating AI tools into production systems and can clearly articulate what those tools unlocked in speed, scale or quality
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in communications, journalism, data journalism, film, media production or related field required
- At least eight years of experience in multimedia or content production required
- At least three years in a senior or leadership role required
- Demonstrated experience producing short-form social content, long-form video and data-driven storytelling required
- Experience building or significantly scaling a short-form social content operation with measurable results required
- Hands-on video production and editing proficiency required
- Demonstrated people management experience, including raising performance expectations on an existing team required
- Experience building production workflows, systems or standards required
- Active, practiced use of AI tools in content production workflows required
- A commitment to working on-site at Gallup’s Washington, D.C., office at least three days per week required
- Eligibility to work in the United States required; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship
