Role

Galvanize’s Investor Partnerships team leads fundraising and investor relations across asset classes. The Investor Partnerships Team develops, maintains, and grows relationships with prospective and current Limited Partners (“LP’s”’, investors, or allocators) globally on behalf of the firm.   

The incumbent will report directly to the Global Head of Investor Partnerships. Ideally this person will be based out of the firm’s San Francsico headquarters, although there is some flexibility between New York and San Francisco for the right candidate. This role is an outstanding opportunity for an individual wanting to expand their knowledge of climate-focused investments and the fundraising and relationship management function of a growing, multi-asset investment platform.  

 

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Project Management: 
    • Facilitate and complete information requests from prospective and current investors and identify potential critical issues  
    • Track investor progress and manage Capital Raise Tracker in coordination with the Investor Partnerships team 
    • Collaborate with investment teams to develop, refine, and tailor investment materials and diligence responses, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with investor expectations across pitch decks, PPMs, data rooms, and fund updates 
    • Maintain detailed investor records and engagement data using Salesforce, ensuring accuracy across contact information, meeting notes, briefing notes, pipeline status, and activity tracking 
    • Create comprehensive meeting preparation materials, including customized investor briefing documents, portfolio updates, key messaging points, and strategic talking tracks, tailored to the specific interests and priorities of each 
    • Spearhead special projects like helping to developing strategic relationships, convenings, events, webinars, and the like. 
  • Investor Dialogue and Communications: 
    • Manage follow-up workflows on behalf of senior team members, including drafting and sending timely correspondence, tracking deliverables, and ensuring action items from investor meetings are completed and logged appropriately 
    • Participate in 1-on-1 LP calls with senior members of the Investor Partnerships team, contributing to meeting prep, taking detailed notes, gaining exposure to investor priorities, market feedback, and relationship management best practices 
    • Coordinate investor events and meetings, including roadshows, conference engagements, and in-office sessions with prospective LPs 
    • Develop the expertise and judgment to independently lead LP meetings and represent Galvanize’s investment strategies across asset classes 
  • Technology and Process Improvement: 
    • Leverage Salesforce and other tools to generate reports, analyze investor engagement trends, and identify outreach opportunities 
    • Identify automation opportunities to improve data hygiene, pipeline accuracy, and tracking of investor interactions 
    • Propose and pilot new tools or enhancements to improve communication, tracking, and knowledge-sharing within the team and firm 

 

Required Qualifications and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of full-time work experience.   
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of integrity and consistently exercises good judgment.  
  • Proven experience in investor relations, investing, clean energy, climate advocacy, strategy consulting, or investment banking.   
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills 
  • Collaborative and team-oriented 
  • A self-starter with a track record of going above and beyond what is asked.  
  • Sense of urgency and understanding how to work against tight deadlines while managing multiple high stakes projects  
  • Strong attention to detail  
  • Constant curiosity and an eagerness to learn 

 

Compensation and Benefits

  • Estimated base salary, depending on experience: $120,000 - $140,0000 per annum   
  • Role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus
