Role Overview
Game Plan Tech is hiring a Workspace Engineer to help public sector organizations modernize how they work through Google Workspace. This role focuses on workflow transformation and improved collaboration. You will help customers shift from legacy tools and outdated patterns to modern, efficient, and automated ways of working.
You will support customer deployments, migrations, configuration, and integration work. Your impact will be measured by how effectively you help organizations adopt modern collaboration models powered by Workspace. You will not be responsible for long-term operation of customer environments. Instead, you will guide customers toward self-sufficient, scalable, and secure collaboration practices.
This position requires US citizenship.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
- Three or more years supporting SaaS collaboration environments such as Workspace or Office 365
- Experience diagnosing system or workflow issues across identity, configuration, and user behavior
- Ability to read or interpret scripts or code such as Python, Bash, or JavaScript
- Must be a US citizen
What we are looking for in a strong candidate
- Experience with Google Workspace administration and security best practices
- Working knowledge of automation tools such as AppSheet or Apps Script
- Understanding of security protocols, compliance, and data governance for public sector environments
- Experience guiding organizations through collaboration or workflow modernization
- Experience with large-scale Workspace deployments or migrations
Key Responsibilities
- Workflow Modernization and Transformation
- Help customers redesign legacy workflows using capabilities such as Drive, Chat, Spaces, shared drives, AppSheet, and security-based collaboration
- Translate operational pain points into improved collaboration patterns and automation opportunities
- Provide guidance on organizational change, governance, and modern team-based collaboration
- Workspace Deployment and Configuration
- Lead planning workshops to scope migrations, timelines, and risks
- Configure Google Workspace environments to support future-state workflows with a focus on OUs, access controls, groups, and security settings
- Integrate Workspace with identity systems, cloud services, and interoperability tools
- Migration and Transformation Projects
- Support data, user, and content migrations from legacy productivity tools into Workspace
- Develop technical architecture for customer-specific integrations and workflow modernization patterns
- Troubleshoot issues across identity, security, interoperability, and Workspace services
- Customer Advisory and Enablement
- Provide best practices for collaboration, security, and automation using modern Workspace features
- Enable customer teams and administrators so they can operate their environments confidently after deployment
- Capture transformation opportunities and contribute to Game Plan Tech modernization playbooks
