Job Function:
The Social Media Coordinator oversees the management of client’s social channels alongside designated Social Media Managers. Coordinator will focus primarily on posting and community management, facilitating connections with followers and pre-identified priority communities by crafting thoughtful and purposeful messaging and engagement tactics that deliver upon the objectives of the client.
The ideal candidate has a deep passion for and knowledge of music and culture, and is up to date on the latest news and social trends. They have a keen understanding of social and community management strategy, and are able to nimbly and effectively adjust said strategies based on platform updates, algorithm shifts, newsworthy moments, and post performance.
The Social Media Coordinator will be expected to work nights and weekends in addition to providing support when Social Media Managers are out of office or otherwise unavailable.
The Social Media Coordinator is expected to oversee a multitude of tasks including, but not limited, to:
- Own and execute social media and community management deliverables alongside designated Social Media Managers, working to ensure that both internal and client objectives are consistently delivered upon.
- Assist in copywriting for assigned client social media handles, adhering to established tone, voice, and editorial guidelines. Ability to nimbly adjust style as requested and across accounts, if needed.
- Manage and execute publishing duties with diligence and acute attention to detail as outlined by the client and the corresponding social media plan.
- Drive community management efforts on specified accounts, interacting not only with channel audiences, but also proactively engaging with relevant accounts and online communities, inserting the client into conversations around timely trending topics.
- Monitor trends in music, entertainment, lifestyle, art, culture, and the competitor landscape, identifying reactive and timely content ideas that make sense for the client and align with established social and community management strategy.
- Monitor platform best practices and recommend ways to optimize content and engagement tactics, driving awareness and increasing KPIs. Analyze social listening data and reporting back on findings, learnings, and opportunities.
- Adhere to timelines ensuring efficient, on-time delivery of work while being able to assess, address, and communicate any issues or concerns that may delay the project or deliverables.
Requirements & Skills:
- 1-3 years of social media or community management experience within a brand or agency environment.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Skilled copywriting and expository writing skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment with tight deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at any given time.
- Experience with Google Workspace and project management software.
- Flexible working hours (primarily nights and weekends).
The pay range for this position is $70,000 - $75,000 per year. This position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus.

Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
