Job Function:

The Senior Producer will play an integral role in developing, managing, and executing social & digital projects, collaborating with various internal teams to execute projects on time, within budget, and up to the expectations of our clients. The Senior Producer will work closely with a variety of vendors, suppliers, and freelancers and will be asked to solve problems daily, while maintaining an ability to quickly shift gears across different workstreams, hopping in and out of projects at various stages as they move towards execution. The Senior Producer will function as a creative production lead of content projects, managing not only logistics of asset creation, but maintaining creative integrity of concepts, ensuring that they align with social media best practices and maintain compelling narratives to help build highly engaged social/digital audiences. The Sr. Producers will  be expected to manage realistic expectations and a steady workflow on all projects from conception to delivery, both internally and externally. The Senior Producer will be owning individual projects and provide oversight and guidance to others on their work stream team. We are looking for a strong people first leader, who has a passion for content creation and a heavy interest in music industry and culture. They specialize in problem solving and can think holistically about how projects come to life from idea to execution.

The Senior Producer will be expected to oversee a multitude of tasks; including, but not limited to: 

  • Maintain oversight of all assigned projects from start to finish, ensuring that both client objectives and internal objectives are being delivered upon, working closely with the Department Director from pitch to final delivery. 
  • Bringing a creative point of view to all motion projects ensuring the content is built in a social-first, engaging way, with an aim to build a highly engaged audience within music & culture category.  
  • Establish and maintain production schedules, while leading day-to-day communication with account teams, internal team members, vendors, and external clients to ensure that the projects are on time, within budget, and exceeding expectations.
  • Display an ability to confidently and effectively articulate creative vision and timelines to clients, vendors, and internal teams. 
  • Establish and maintain a creative point of view on projects and an ability to explain concepts, ideas, and brand guidelines in a clear, friendly, and convincing manner.
  • Display an ability to collaborate with and challenge partners on finding creative solutions to problems.
  • Develop and drive the content production process as a key leader in the department.
  • Work daily with a cross-functional team of editors, designers and account managers,  providing guidance and support.
  • Identify and communicate project challenges in a timely manner, while brainstorming and identifying creative solutions to all problems and elevating to the Department Director as needed. 
  • Understand and thoroughly prepare project SOWs, build, and manage project budgets, and also manage vendor invoices and payments working closely with the Department Director and Finance through actualization. 
  • Seamlessly layer into projects when necessary, with an ability to quickly disseminate a client brief or project plan.
  • Collaborate and brainstorm across agency workstreams (strategy, creative teams, project managers, digital teams, and creative producers and accounts.)
  • Possess the ability to read in between lines to predict and react to a client’s needs, while consistently and proactively identifying ways to improve and service those needs and developing solutions to obstacles and budget constraints with client goals in mind.
  • Oversee the on-site execution of the shoot day(s), including coordination of crew, vendors, and internal team members.
  • Lead the on-site execution of managing the ROS, load in/out, show calling, etc.
  • Build and maintain industry knowledge, relationships, and resources that can be leveraged to help drive projects forward.
  • Keep a pulse on trends in music, entertainment, lifestyle, art, and culture.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of managing creative production projects either within an agency environment, a media company, or for a brand.
  • Experience working with creative, digital, on-site, and project management teams.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of pre-production and post-production processes
  • Strong creative point of view on how to develop compelling storytelling in video formats
  • Expert level knowledge of social media platforms, specs and best practices
  • High-level understanding of film and photo production, design processes, and production set design.
  • Experience working with video and photo production vendors, fabrication shops, and freelance set designers.
  • Excellent negotiating skills and an innate understanding of industry pricing.
  • Creative problem-solver and highly conceptual abstract visual thinker.
  • Confident self-motivator; proactive and willing to initiate action.
  • Solutions-oriented thinker with a high-level ability to solve problems.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Outstanding relationship skills and a team-oriented, highly collaborative approach to work.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment, across multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Highly competent in Google Suite, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Slack, Box, Asana, and other project management platforms.
  • A selfless team player who looks out for the well-being of others.
  • Passion for music, entertainment, culture, art, and lifestyle.

The pay range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 per year. This position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus.

Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
