Role Overview

The Sr. Social Strategist will lead the day-to-day development of social strategy and social ideas for the work of a client’s partnerships with an F1 team, a major golf league, and a 3rd sports league (TBC). It’s important that the person in this role is deeply tapped into F1 and golf, with soccer being a nice to have.

Reporting to the Social Strategy Director, the Sr. Social Strategist will be responsible for ideating and developing engaging social content to help our client build an amazing social presence. This role requires proven experience in bringing numerous social ideas to life, writing social copy, building out content calendars, and helping brands grow their social channels through engaging content, platform insights, and audience analysis. You’ll contribute to everything from big ideas and social playbooks to repeatable social franchises and talent/creator-led content. This role is driven by ideation and copywriting with a heavy focus on social.

You understand that what works on Instagram doesn’t necessarily work on TikTok, that community management is more than just comments and replies, and the type of content it takes to get followers to comment things like, “marketing team deserves a raise.”

Soft skills are extremely important to this team. We’re looking for someone who is tapped in, passionate about the work, takes initiative, pushes their own ideas, communicates timely, collaborates cross-functionally, delivers top-quality work, and solves problems with empathy.

Responsibilities

The Sr. Social Strategist will be expected to oversee the following, but not limited to:

  • Lead the day-to-day development of social strategy and ideas across IG, TT, X, and more
  • Develop social ideas and rollout plans across all social asks (franchises, always-on, reactive)
  • Build, design, and present decks through compelling copywriting, layout, and visuals
  • Write strong, social-facing copy (pitch decks, interview questions, captions, in-asset copy, etc.)
  • Stay tapped in on social trends and platform features to create impactful social content ideas
  • Lead updates to the social playbook, specifically: social, content, channel strategy & ideas
  • Collaborate daily with design & production leads to build out content calendars and plans
  • Collaborate weekly with the client + their partners to share/refine social plans
  • Work at the speed of social to build ideas and update plans based on int. and ext. Feedback
  • Shape the brand’s strategic roadmap on social, adjusting the approach and strategy as needed
  • Go from brief to execution to build out ideas and and make your social plan come to life

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of working in social (agency, tech, media, or brand/partner side)
  • Portfolio of social work that shows strategy & content ideas
  • Bilingual English and Arabic is a plus
  • Experience building social ideas/plans in decks
  • Experience working in sports partnership social work streams (F1, golf, or soccer)
  • Proficiency in creating Google Slides decks (design, layout, speed, familiarity)
  • Deep knowledge of social platforms (features, behaviors, how they differ)
  • Passion and love for social media, culture, music, sports, and more
  • Excellent pitching, storytelling, and communication skills

Considerations

  • Weekend work may be required during live sporting events (ie. F1 races, golf events)
  • Some travel may be required for sporting events/shoots
  • Your day-to-day team will be based in London, manager would be based in NYC.

Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
