Role Overview:
The Senior Social Strategist leads the day-to-day development of social strategy and content ideation for a major client in the music streaming space. You understand that what works on Instagram doesn’t necessarily work on TikTok, that community management is more than just comments and replies, and the type of content that warrants comments like, “marketing team deserves a raise.”
Reporting to the Social Strategy Director, the Senior Social Strategist will be responsible for ideating and developing content to help our client build and maintain a best-in-class social presence. This role requires proven experience in bringing numerous social ideas to life, creating quick-turn concept decks and strategy plans, and building and scaling channels through engaging content, platform insights, and audience analysis. You’ll contribute to everything from big ideas and social playbooks to developing repeatable franchises and talent/creator-led content. This role is driven by ideation and copywriting with a heavy focus on social.

The Senior Social Strategist will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:
- Lead the day-to-day development of strategy and content ideas across priority platforms
- Develop social ideas and cross-platform rollout plans for franchises, always-on content, and reactive ideas
- Go from brief to execution to build out ideas and and make your social plan come to life
- Be deeply tapped into and passionate about music news and pop culture at large
- Experience covering high-priority live events on social
- Build, design, and present decks through compelling copywriting, layout, and visuals
- Write strong, social-facing copy (pitch decks, interview questions, captions, on-asset copy)
- Stay tapped in on social trends and platform updates to create impactful content ideas
- Collaborate daily with design and production leads to develop and refine social content
- Be seen as the social strategy expert in the eyes of the client, working directly with them to maintain a best-in-class online presence and advise on strategic pivots and shifts
- Shape the brand’s strategic roadmap on social, adjusting the overall approach and channel strategies as needed
Requirements:
- 4-6 years of working in social (agency, media, or brand/partner side)
- Portfolio of social work that shows strategy and content ideas
- Experience building social ideas and content plans in deck format
- Proficiency in creating Google Slides decks (design, layout, speed, familiarity)
- Deep knowledge of social platforms (features, behaviors, how they differ)
- Passion for and deep knowledge of social media, music, and pop culture
- Excellent pitching, storytelling, and communication skills
The pay range for this position is $105,000 - $120,000 per year. This position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus.

Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
