Engineering Manager
The Role:
The Full Stack Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions across web, backend, and mobile platforms. This role is critical to ensuring an exceptional customer experience in our direct-to-consumer, e-commerce, and two-sided marketplace offerings. The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership skills to mentor a high-performing team and drive impactful product delivery.
Above & Beyond: The Impact You'll Make:
Technical Leadership:
- Architect and oversee solutions across frontend, backend, and mobile platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Provide hands-on technical support, including coding when necessary, to resolve complex challenges.
Team Management & Mentorship:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Set clear expectations, provide actionable feedback, and create growth opportunities for team members.
Product & Platform Development:
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into technical deliverables.
- Ensure delivery of user-centric features with robust testing, monitoring, and deployment pipelines.
Scalability & Performance:
- Design systems to scale efficiently while optimizing for performance and security.
- Anticipate and plan for future technical challenges as the business grows.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with product, design, and other engineering leaders to align on goals and ensure seamless execution.

Technical Skills:
- Expertise in frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular), backend frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Django), and mobile platforms (e.g., React Native, Swift).

One Team One Dream: What We Need to Work Together:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
- 7+ years of professional experience in full stack engineering.
- 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
- Hands-on experience with direct-to-consumer businesses, e-commerce platforms, or two-sided marketplaces.
Certifications:
- None required but relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect) are a plus.
Other Requirements:
- Deep understanding of consumer behavior and platform dynamics in direct-to-consumer and marketplace industries.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience:
- Experience with subscription models, payment gateways, or logistics integrations.
- Familiarity with micro-services architecture and event-driven systems.
Performance Metrics
- Successfully delivering features on time while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Improving platform scalability and performance metrics by 15%.
- Increasing team productivity and engagement through effective leadership.

At Gametime pay ranges are subject to change and assigned to a job based on specific market median of similar jobs according to 3rd party salary benchmark surveys. Individual pay within that range can vary for several reasons including skills/capabilities, experience, and available budget.
United States - Pay Range
$217,000 - $256,000 USD
