Vice President, Data Health Intelligence Engineering

We’re looking for a Vice President, Data Intelligence Engineering to lead our core systems that generate and serve insights. This role reports to the Chief Technology Officer. This is a hybrid role and will require 3 days most weeks in Garner’s New York City office.
Responsibilities will include:
- Own and drive the execution of your organization’s quarterly deliverables and long-term strategy.
- Contribute to the development of a world-class data platform that supports data science, analytics, product, and engineering needs across the company.
- Champion and ensure the privacy and security of our users’ data.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align strategies and achieve company objectives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to your teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
- Mentor, grow, and recruit Garner’s next generation of engineering leaders.
Ideal candidate has:
- 7+ years of experience leading software engineering teams.
- 3+ years of experience managing managers of engineering teams, or experience overseeing teams of 30+ engineers.
- 2+ years of experience building big data systems handling at-scale data ingestion, processing, and/or storage.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a proven ability to inspire and lead a high-performing team.
- Strong technical understanding of data systems architecture and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into a well executed technical roadmap.
- Experience with data science platforms, machine learning infrastructure, data governance, and/or managing regulated data is preferred.
- A willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success
- Experience working in a rapidly evolving startup environment

The target salary range for this position is: $270,000 - $300,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on a variety of factors including qualifications, skills and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans. This position is also bonus eligible.
