Production Operator
Department: Manufacturing
Reporting To: Assistant Manager, Operations
Summary: Operator will manufacture a pharmaceutical active ingredient in liquid form. Stage material, charge equipment following the batch record. Fill the batch in the required packaging configurations. Perform warehouse functions such as loading and unloading of trucks.
Hours Standard: 6 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Occasionally: Extended hours, 2nd or 3rd shift hours; Saturday/Sunday may be required as necessary to support manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning of room and equipment, and assembly of clean equipment.
- Weighing and staging all material for production.
- Charging mixing vessels.
- Perform manufacturing duties accurately in a GMP compliant manner.
- Fill products into appropriate containers. Label all containers with appropriate labels.
- Maintaining a clean production area.
- Accurately complete batch record documentation.
- Pack and label materials as required.
- Prepare products for shipping.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Organize warehouse with pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Other duties assigned by Management
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds regularly, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods in a production environment.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and write in English. Ability to perform calculations.
Experience Requirements:
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Forklift experience a plus. Certification a plus.
