Lead Risk Enterprise Analyst
The Lead Enterprise Risk Analyst plays a critical role in identifying, evaluating and mitigating risks that could impact the organization’s operations, financial stability or compliance composure. This position uses quantitative and qualitative methods to assess risk exposure, develop mitigation strategies and ensure adherence to regulatory and internal risk management frameworks. The Enterprise Risk Analyst will build and maintain collaborative relationships internally and externally and support the finance team in meeting all departmental and company goals.

Additional Responsibilities
- Risk Modeling & Analysis: Develop and maintain sophisticated risk models using tools such as Value at Risk (VaR), Monte Carlo simulations, and stress testing to quantify exposure across trading, origination, and sales portfolios.
- Risk Modeling & Analysis: Perform scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to evaluate potential impacts of market volatility, credit risk, and operational disruptions profitability.
- Strategic Risk Management: Design and implement enterprise-wide risk management frameworks aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Strategic Risk Management: Monitor emerging risks (market, credit, operational, regulatory) and recommend proactive mitigation strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Traders, Origination, Finance, Legal, Regulatory, and Credit teams to integrate risk considerations into business decisions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a subject matter expert on risk for cross-functional projects, providing guidance on risk evaluation and control measures.
- Reporting & Communication: Prepare and present comprehensive risk reports, dashboards, and executive summaries for senior leadership and Gas South’s Management Committee.
- Reporting & Communication: Communicate complex risk concepts in clear, actionable terms to stakeholders at all levels.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal risk policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Governance & Compliance: Support audits and regulatory examinations by providing accurate and timely risk documentation.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance risk analytics capabilities through automation, data visualization, and advanced statistical techniques.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies impacting risk management.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor junior analysts, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Contribute to building a culture of risk awareness and accountability across the organization.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Lead special initiatives related to risk assessment, process improvement, and strategic planning as assigned.
Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree – Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Mathematics, Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in analytics, supporting data‑driven decision‑making and strategic insights.
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise risk management, preferably in energy, commodities, or financial services.
- Strong proficiency in risk modeling tools, statistical software, and data visualization platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and influence decision-making at senior levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and SQL
- Familiarity with natural gas regulatory frameworks and industry standards
- Strong communication and presentation abilities to senior management.
Preferred Experience
- Solid understanding of data analysis, model building, model valuation
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent academic record with a quantitative based degree
- Certifications such as Certified Risk Analyst are a plus

Sitting: Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk or workstation while performing computer-based tasks, conducting meetings, and collaborating with colleagues.
Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk within the office environment, such as when attending meetings, interacting with colleagues or external stakeholders, or visiting different departments.
Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry material, files, or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds, such as when organizing documents or setting up for meetings .
Pay range is commensurate with education, experience, specialized skills or certifications, etc.

$111,794 - $124,946 USD
