About You
As a Deployment Contractor, you will play a crucial role in the setup of warehouses for fully autonomous drone flights. Your responsibilities will include mounting ArUco tags to warehouse racking faces, collecting measurements, and ensuring accurate drone deployment according to established guidelines. This position requires hands-on building experience, attention to detail, and the ability to travel extensively.
What You'll Do
- Assist in the setup of warehouses for fully autonomous drone flights.
- Mount ArUco tags to warehouse racking faces following the pattern defined by the lead Forward Deployed Engineer, utilizing a scissor lift or elevated work platform.
- Collect accurate measurements of warehouse racks.
- Adhere to safety guidelines outlined by Gather AI and the current customer site.
- Maintain consistent and accurate attendance as per the schedule provided by the lead Forward Deployed Engineer.
- Record tag placement exceptions and aisle sectioning within the Data Collection Sheet (DCS).
- Be accountable for all Gather AI equipment and materials provided for use during deployment.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct yourself in a manner consistent with Gather AI core values and policies.
- Demonstrate excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Utilize hands-on building/fabricating experience with cart hardware, drone hardware, hand tools, power tools, etc.
What You'll Need
- Experience as a technician or in a technically-focused, customer-facing role
- Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
- Thorough understanding of Excel/Google Sheets
- Ability to travel ~80% of time including some weekends (valid driver's license)
- Possess forklift certification or be willing to complete the forklift certification course
- Willingness to submit to a drug test if required
- Be prepared for the possibility of abnormal working hours and 1-4 week-long trips
Bonus points for...
- Knowledge of forklift mechanics
- Hands-on building/fabricating experience [cart hardware, drone hardware, machine usage (laser cutter, drills, etc.)]
- Experience flying drones
- Experience teaching
- Familiarity with Warehouse or Inventory Control practices
Compensation and Benefits
