About You

As a Solution Engineer at Gather AI, you will contribute to our efforts to expand market reach, drive revenue growth, and establish strategic partnerships with clients seeking to unlock the potential of AI-driven insights. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, you will contribute materially to supporting a high-performing sales team and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive the adoption of our transformative technology solutions.

We’re looking for a passionate, pre-sales technical engineer with demonstrated success in enterprise sales of automation solutions.  Experience in warehouse automation/supply chain/logistics technology. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced start-up/scale up environment, be an independent self-starter and have previous experience in scaling a sales organization. You will be empowered to make a tangible impact at a company where innovative ideas are valued and contributions make a difference.

What You'll Do 

  • Drive high growth sales while expanding our market presence across the US
  • Support strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and drive market penetration in key sectors and geographic markets.
  • Support sales in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships, alliances, and enterprise sales opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business challenges and objectives to provide tailored AI solutions that deliver measurable value.
  • Track technical sales metrics and trends to ensure continued growth
  • Support sales in developing business cases and gaining alignment from technical and operational decision makers
  • Develop technical objection handling guidelines to support the sales team in effectively articulating the value proposition of Gather AI's solutions and overcoming customer objections.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and customer needs to inform sales strategies and tactics effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with product management, marketing, and other internal teams to align sales efforts with product development, marketing campaigns, and business objectives

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field 
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise sales, preferably in the technology or robotics industry. 
  • Have a working knowledge of the following and ability to understand customer needs in these areas: 
  • Demonstrated success in selling high-value, complex solutions to enterprise clients, with a focus on consultative selling and ROI-based discussions.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain operations, logistics, and related challenges.
  • Proven track record of success in application engineering pre-sales roles.
  • Understanding of AI, machine learning, and data analytics, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools to manage and track sales activities
  • Strong team collaboration skills with a track record of activating commercial teams to achieve high sales performance.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving growth and innovation.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Understanding of supply chain robotics, benefits and challenges to adoption
  • Experience collaborating in enterprise selling methods, especially in industrial automation
  • Experience in buying and implementing automation at a major ecommerce, retail, or logistics company

  • Advanced degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related fiel
