Field Travel Protector - Executive Protection Driver

Gavin de Becker & Associates (GDBA) protects the world’s most influential and at-risk public figures.  Founded in 1978 by 3-time Presidential appointee, Gavin de Becker, our firm’s Protectors, Analysts, and Investigators are committed to our mission of protecting human life through the assessment, prediction, and management of violence.  

A Field Travel Protector will support the GDBA protective mission whenever, wherever, and however it is needed. This support may come on a Field Detail, conducting an advance, or completing a Secure Transportation Operation (STO). Every Field Travel Protector must be experienced, flexible, adaptable, and able to travel at a moment’s notice.

First year earnings for this role in Washington D.C start at a minimum of $90,000 based on a 40-hour work week. This position offers earnings potential of up to $120,000+ commensurate with experience, overtime opportunities, bonuses, travel pay and more. A sign-on bonus and training academy scholarship is also available.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years working in a full-time certified law enforcement officer position(s). Federal, state, local law enforcement all accepted.
• To be eligible for this position, candidates must possess or be eligible to possess a valid LEOSA/HR-218 permit.

Mission: The Safety, Privacy and Wellbeing of our Clients 

• Provide protection and logistical support at clients' homes and when they travel
• Detect and defeat adversaries
• Create and maintain readiness to meet any threat
• Survey and prepare locations prior to arrival of the protected person
• Coordinate and execute plans for security and medical emergencies 

Interested candidates should expect the following:

• 12-Day Introductory Essential Protector Skills (EPS) Training Academy
• Be able to pass physical readiness test (Pull-ups, Push-ups, Sit-ups, 800m run) 
• Protectors must be drug and nicotine free 
• Able to pass a pre-employment background investigation 
• Must be able to swim

• $1k-$3k sign-on bonus
