More about the role:

GCI Health is looking for a VP, Strategy to help us do the kind of work that challenges expectations and reimagines what’s possible in corporate health and wellness.

You’ll be focused on solving brand and business problems for existing and prospective clients with a strategic approach that’s driven by research + analytics and results in actionable, people-centric insights. We’re looking for someone who can work quickly and collaboratively, at times taking minimal information and filling in the gaps with insight and structure. From initial research to final decks, the ideal candidate can craft a strategy that inspires creative teams and excites clients.

Your primary role will be supporting corporate strategies for clients across the pharmaceutical, biotech, and consumer healthcare sectors. However, you may be asked to support non-corporate projects including developing brand and product strategies, so an interest in and ability to be flexible is critical.

The VP, Strategy will collaborate with agency team members to produce unexpected, powerful work that shifts audience mindsets and behaviors. You’ll manage multiple projects simultaneously, including an active new business pipeline. You are a problem solver who can mine the human story and cultural tension from data and guide internal teams and clients to effective solutions; a self-starter prepared to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously as the day-to-day strategist.

The VP, Strategy reports into our GSVP of Strategy and collaborates closely with Market Leaders, Practice Leaders, Account Leads and Specialty Leads (Digital, Earned, Creative, Design Analytics)

  • Works collaboratively to conduct ecosystem audits, mapping customer experience touchpoints, identifying opportunities and gaps
  • Contributes to the development of customer segmentation, customer profiles, and journey maps to better understand current and prospective customers
  • Helps teams to develop the “big idea” and creative executions across multiple channels
  • Partners with account leads and GSVP of Strategy to identify and win opportunities for growth with current clients

Day-to-Day business

  • Serves as lead strategist for key pieces of business: corporate positioning and architecture, white space identification, message mapping, competitive tracking, emerging trend identification
  • Deeply analyzes research and analytics to develop communications strategies for clients
  • Mines provocative insights that form the basis for creative strategies and develops inspiring creative briefs and briefings
  • Achieves financial and operational excellence

KPIS

  • Successful integration onto account teams
  • “Sales” of strategy offerings
  • Roll out of strategy training for account teams (aka Healthy Tensions)

Whatever your decision, it will not be considered in the hiring process or thereafter. Any information that you do provide will be recorded and maintained in a confidential file.

As set forth in GCI Health’s Equal Employment Opportunity policy, we do not discriminate on the basis of any protected group status under any applicable law.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
