More about the role:

Burson is looking for Media Relations Executive - Healthcare PR for our Mumbai location. The individual will join our team & work in the GCI Health Team.

As a Media Relations Executive at Burson, you are expected to Build and Maintain Media Relationships, play a key role in executing integrated communications programs, managing client deliverables, supporting media and influencer engagement, and contributing to business growth for our Pharma and healthcare team. You will work closely with senior team members to deliver impactful campaigns, maintain strong client relationships, and ensure high-quality execution across accounts.

What you'll do:

  • Support the execution of integrated communications strategies and campaigns. 
  • Overseeing communications with the media, including preparing, editing, and proofreading articles, press kits, press releases, website postings, and other content.
  • Develop client-facing materials including press releases, messaging, reports, and presentations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media, influencers, and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor industry trends, news, and social media opportunities relevant to clients.
  • Manage account deliverables within timelines and budget requirements.
  • Conduct research and provide insights to support client programs and new business opportunities.
  • Assist in team coordination, training, and knowledge sharing initiatives.
  • Leverage Generative AI tools for research, planning, content creation, and operational efficiency.

Experience that contributes to success:

  • Strong understanding of public relations and integrated communications.
  • 2+ years of work experience of handling healthcare media relations in a PR agency and has a significant network of connections with media outlets, reporters, etc
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong research, analytical, and reporting capabilities.
  • Familiarity with social media trends and influencer engagement.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of Generative AI tools and their application in communications.
