Fund Data Reporting and Analytics, Associate

SUMMARY

As a member of the Fund Data Reporting and Analytics Team (“Fund Data Team)” within Grosvenor’s Finance Department, the Associate will focus primarily on preparing portfolio and investment performance analyses and reporting in support of GCM Grosvenor’s business development, client reporting, and marketing initiatives.

In this high-visibility role, the Associate will work across Private Equity, Infrastructure, Private Credit, and Real Estate investment platforms—partnering with client services, business development, marketing, and senior leadership to deliver data-driven storytelling and performance analytics. Team members are key collaborators in raising new business through RFP and RFIs efforts. The role operates in a fast-paced, dynamic, and deadline-driven environment, so the ideal candidate must be a well-organized, thoughtful team player who operates well under pressure and has excellent analytical and communication skills.

As an onsite/hybrid employee, you are expected to be in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze data related to funds and co-investments across our private equity, infrastructure, private credit, and real estate-focused portfolios.
  • Prepare, analyze, and report performance information for client reporting, business development and marketing purposes.
  • Translate data into compelling insights for client reports, RFP/RFIs, marketing materials, and senior leadership decision-making.
  • Create dynamic models that forecast portfolio performance, cash flows, fees, carried interest, and other financial metrics.
  • Oversee the processing, storage, and synthesis of large amounts of structured and unstructured data collected throughout the GCM investment and fundraising processes.
  • Manage and provide guidance to offshore analysts on project execution, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and quality.
  • Continuously improve reporting processes and data pipelines, helping to push the team toward scalable, automated solutions.
  • Manage multiple requests simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met.
  • Routinely handle confidential information and apply strict confidentiality and sensitivity in the dissemination of this information; and perform various ad-hoc and long-term projects and as assigned.

 

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Economics(Master’s preferred).
  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in a finance or data analytics role.
  • Alternative investment industry experience, particularly private equity, and an understanding of the concepts and data relating to investment performance, assets under management, asset allocation and risk exposure are strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills are required. The ideal candidate will have the ability to articulate complex thoughts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills as well as a demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis are required. Experience with Python or other coding skills is preferred.
  • Experience working with iLevel is preferred, but not required
  • A strong attention to detail and concern for the quality and accuracy of final work products is critical.
  • A candidate must have the ability to work with and develop financial models.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills are required, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A candidate should be skilled at identifying processes that are inefficient and should have a knack for business process improvement.
  • The highest degree of integrity and the ability to maintain confidential information is absolutely necessary.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a high level of energy and the flexibility to work extended hours at times to accommodate specific projects.

Actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individual's experience, skills, and qualifications for the role.  Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on factors such as individual, team, and company performance as well as a comprehensive benefits package.

$100,000 - $135,000 USD
