Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Bookkeeper to join our London Business Management team. In this role, you will work closely with Account Managers and Directors, supporting a dynamic client base in the music and entertainment industry. This opportunity offers outstanding training, career development, and exposure to complex financial operations in a fast-paced and creative environment. The role is hybrid, with three days per week in the office.

This role is located in London, UK.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage bookkeeping and VAT returns for a diverse portfolio of music and entertainment clients.
  • Process purchase invoices and prepare accurate payment packs for approval.
  • Raise sales invoices, post bank receipts, and ensure timely revenue recognition.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and client statements.
  • Maintain organized and accurate general ledgers and accounting records.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.
  • Support in budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial analysis for client accounts.
  • Liaise directly with clients and third parties (e.g., vendors, tax authorities, auditors) to resolve queries.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Provide ad hoc support to Account Managers and Directors on client projects and financial transactions.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in an accounting practice or similar financial environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong commercial awareness and a genuine interest in developing business acumen.
  • A collaborative, self-motivated professional who thrives in a team-oriented environment.
  • Progress toward AAT, ACCA, or ACA qualification (either through study or professional experience).
  • Strong communication skills, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A passion for the music and entertainment industry.
