G.E. Mechanical LLC is a leading full-service mechanical contractor, headquartered in Vineland, NJ and serving all of Southern New Jersey. Family operated since 1984, G.E. Mechanical has provided a full range of refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, drain cleaning, and environmental services to commercial and industrial customers.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Human Resources (HR) Manager’s responsibility is to execute and coordinate daily Human Resources Department goals and processes, while ensuring that company/department policies and procedures align with industry, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure compliance of federal and state HR laws, regulations & requirements as pertaining to the Company
Assist with performance management and team member reviews
Optimize and conduct new team member onboarding process
Responsible for companywide recruiting efforts
Assist in management of OSHA, safety, and training requirements, reporting, and documentation.
Implement, renew, and maintain team member benefit programs/insurance plans
Oversee COBRA administration
Assist with developing training and evaluation initiatives
Conduct required audits and reporting
Manage EEO/AA Plans and compliance
Knowledge of and compliance with union/collective bargaining agreements
Manage weekly payroll processing and payroll rates/taxes
Process all payroll related payments and forms, including quarterly and year end requirements
Compliance with state and federal prevailing wage
Worker’s Compensation oversight and reporting
Adherence to the company’s Confidentiality Agreement
Oversee Employee Handbook and critical process documentation, implement changes and updates as needed
Oversee administration of learning management system (LMS) and any other related systems
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
High School diploma or GED and 4 years’ experience in human resources, training, or related field
OR
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field and 2 years’ related experience
Preferred Qualifications
4 years of payroll & HR experience
SHRM Certification
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work as a team player
Strong verbal & written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook
Attention to detail and organization
