Job Overview:
The Shipping and Inventory Specialist is responsible for performing tasks for Security, ODHVAC, and Submeter Billing Hardware projects including but not limited to checking inventory, pulling and packing equipment, and performing quality control checks on outgoing inventory including readers, control boards, and power supplies. The Shipping and Inventory Specialist also verifies correct data from CRM system, manages shipment details, assists with packaging items, moves hardware to designated storage areas, inspects the quality of items for release, and RMAs defective products for immediate replacement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use SAP inventory software for inventory receipts and shipments
- Proficient with UPS WorldShip and/or other shipping software applications
- Take responsibility for careful and complete packing of all CRE and Access Control equipment
- Maintain all equipment and packages
- Diagnose, report and RMA damaged equipment
- Assemble and configure equipment packages/cases for client delivery
- Organize and store all testing equipment
- Keep accurate inventory counts by completing monthly cycle counts
- Other responsibilities as designated by the team leader
Qualifications:
- One to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently once given assignment
- Ability to read and follow work order details thoroughly
- Ability to communicate openly, honestly, and constructively
- Ability to use inventory scanners/shipping software
- Ability to use basic hand tools and some power tools
- Computer skills required: General computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.
- Ability to work out of the Irvine, CA office (Von Karman and Dupont) Monday - Friday
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Frequently required to sit, stand and walk short distances
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
- Frequently required to talk or hear
- Continually requires vision
- While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet

Estimated Salary Range: $20-25/hour
