Job Overview:
Genea is looking for a sharp, systems-minded Business Systems Analyst to serve as a cross-functional partner bridging our Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing, Post-Sales and Product teams. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role for someone who thrives at the intersection of business strategy, process, automation and technology—someone who can walk into a poorly defined or misunderstood process, map it out, identify the pain points, and come back with a clear plan to fix it, with a future state that leverages automation and artificial intelligence.
Reporting directly to Sales Leadership, you will own the requirements, roadmap, and governance of Genea’s internal commercial tech stack—anchored by Salesforce CRM—and act as a project manager and internal business consultant to drive operational efficiency, data integrity, and scalable tooling across our revenue organization. You’ll be the person who translates what our teams need into systems that actually work, and who keeps every stakeholder aligned from kickoff through go-live.
You aren't just a builder; you are an internal architect and strategic advisor. You will act as a Business Consultant to our GTM leadership, proactively identifying operational friction and proposing high-impact technology solutions. You are expected to dive deep into 'messy' processes, facilitate discovery workshops with stakeholders, and translate ambiguous business goals into a structured, scalable systems roadmap.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary business systems owner for Salesforce CRM and Genea’s broader internal commercial tech stack, including integrated tools such as HubSpot, Avoma, workflow automation platforms, and internal quoting and spec tools.
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations, Post-Sales, Finance and Product teams to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements for system enhancements, new tool implementations, and process improvements.
- Translate business needs into structured requirements: user stories, process maps, data flow diagrams, and functional specifications that can be handed off to developers, administrators, or vendors.
- Lead end-to-end project management for internal systems initiatives—from stakeholder alignment and scoping through configuration, QA, training, and change management.
- Act as a 'challenger' to stakeholders; evaluate requested features against long-term architectural health and ROI, offering alternative solutions that prioritize simplicity and automation.
- Design and lead the 'human' side of system rollouts—including executive alignment, user adoption strategies, and impact measurement—to ensure technical deployments result in actual business value.
- Maintain and continuously optimize Salesforce CRM data architecture, workflows, validation rules, reports, and dashboards to support GTM decision-making and pipeline visibility.
- Identify and close process gaps and inefficiencies across the revenue funnel; design and implement scalable solutions that reduce manual work and improve data quality.
- Analyze and optimize the hand-offs between Sales, Finance, and Post-Sales to ensure a seamless 'Quote-to-Cash' and 'Onboarding' experience, removing friction for both internal teams and Genea’s customers.
- Serve as Genea’s primary Salesforce administrator, owning day-to-day configuration, Flow Builder automation, user management, and system health; act as the internal point of contact for any third-party developers or IT/engineering resources engaged on commercial systems projects.
- Govern data quality standards across CRM and connected systems; design and enforce data hygiene protocols and integration of health checks.
- Build and maintain documentation for system configurations, integration maps, process flows, SOPs, and end-user training materials.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement new tools or integrations to improve how Sales, Marketing, and Operations work—with a bias toward practical, high-ROI solutions over complexity.
- Support reporting and analytics needs across the revenue organization; build executive dashboards and ensure data reliability for Sales, Marketing, and leadership.
- Collaborate on ad-hoc strategic projects to support the evolving needs of the Growth and Sales Operations department.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent practical experience considered.
Experience
- 3–5+ years in a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Revenue Operations, Sales Operations role or Business System Manager role
- Hands-on experience administering or closely working within Salesforce CRM in a SaaS or technology company environment.
- Demonstrated track record of leading cross-functional systems projects from requirements to deployment, adoption, and success tracking.
- Experience working directly with Sales and Marketing stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Certifications
- Salesforce Administrator (ADM-201) certification is strongly preferred; candidates without it must be willing and able to obtain within 180 days of hire.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
- SCRUM or Agile certification is a plus
Technical Skills
- Salesforce CRM: admin-level proficiency (workflows, validation rules, reports, dashboards, data management, integrations).
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Marketo) and CRM-adjacent tooling.
- Experience building and deploying AI-driven agents or automated workflows (e.g., Salesforce Agentforce, Workato, or custom LLM integrations) to enhance GTM productivity.
- SQL proficiency is a preferred qualification for this role—candidates who can independently audit data integrity across Salesforce and HubSpot will be prioritized. Working knowledge of Python or JavaScript for light automation is a plus. Salesforce Apex experience is not required but is a meaningful differentiator.
- Proficiency with data mapping, requirements documentation, and process diagramming tools; experience with Asana, Lucidchart, Miro, Confluence, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency with Agile and project management tools like Jira, Asana, Monday.com or similar to manage workback logs
Additional Skills
- Exceptional stakeholder management—comfortable facilitating requirements sessions with Sales reps, marketing managers, and product leaders in the same conversation.
- Strong written and verbal communication; able to write a clean user story and present a data model to a VP without losing either audience.
- Project management discipline: you own timelines, surface blockers early, and keep stakeholders accountable.
- Data-driven mindset with attention to detail in system configuration and data integrity.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, distributed SaaS environment with shifting priorities, across multiple stakeholders with different domain expertise
- Extreme ownership of outcomes. You might not be using the systems and processes you are building, but you own the success of the teams that are.
