Job Overview

The Talent Acquisition Specialist owns US hiring at Genea, leading full-cycle recruiting for approximately 50 positions a year. Searches span every part of the business: corporate functions, Operations, Business Development, Marketing, Technology, and Product. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will partner with HR Business Partners, hiring managers, and leadership to run each search from intake through offer. This role suits a recruiter who has hired for both technical and corporate roles and wants the breadth of owning a company's full US hiring plan as an individual contributor.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for approximately 50 US hires per year across corporate, Operations, Business Development, Marketing, Technology, and Product roles.
  • Lead intake meetings with hiring managers to define requirements, selection criteria, interview plans, and hiring timelines for each role.
  • Source and engage passive candidates through LinkedIn and other channels, building pipelines for open and recurring roles.
  • Develop creative recruiting and sourcing approaches for specialized and hard-to-fill technical and corporate roles.
  • Screen and assess candidates against role requirements, and present qualified shortlists with clear recommendations to hiring managers.
  • Manage interview processes and candidate communication so every candidate has a clear, timely, and consistent experience.
  • Prepare, extend, and negotiate offers, partnering with the Chief People Officer and hiring managers to close selected candidates.
  • Write and post job descriptions and job postings that accurately reflect each role and meet Genea standards.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, hiring managers, and leadership to align hiring priorities and timelines with business needs.
  • Maintain accurate requisition and candidate records in Greenhouse, and report recruiting metrics and hiring progress to the Chief People Officer and leadership.

Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full-cycle corporate (in-house) recruiting experience.
  • Experience recruiting for both technical roles, such as engineering and product, and non-technical corporate roles.
  • Recruiting experience in a fast-paced, growing SaaS or technology company.
  • Demonstrated success sourcing and engaging passive candidates through LinkedIn and other channels.
  • Experience extending and negotiating offers.
  • Working proficiency with an applicant tracking system.
  • Experience with Greenhouse, preferred.
  • Strong collaborator who builds productive working relationships with HR Business Partners, hiring managers, and leadership.
  • Clear, effective written and verbal communication, including writing job postings that attract qualified candidates.
  • Able to travel to the Irvine, CA office two to four times per year.

 

Compensation: $90,000 – $120,000 annual base salary

This range reflects what Genea reasonably expects to pay for this role at the time of posting. Where an offer falls within the range depends on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and skills, and on internal equity.
