Position Description
At General Atlantic, we are committed to excellence, fostering an inclusive work environment, and providing strategic HR support to ensure the success of our teams. We are looking for a Temporary Coordinator to support our HR Business Partner team (HRBP) and firm culture and engagement programs for a six-month assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior HR professional to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will assist in providing day-to-day employee support, and coordinating new hire orientation, along with General Atlantic’s culture and engagement efforts.
Responsibilities
- Support the HRBP team across all stages of the employee life cycle, including performance management, talent development, onboarding, and offboarding.
- Assist the HRBP team with year-end processes such as performance reviews, promotion nominations, and compensation planning and meeting preparation.
- Collaborate with the HRBP team on immigration-related requests and cases for the global employee population.
- Coordinate, schedule, and attend all talent, culture and engagement initiatives, including events, training programs, and learning sessions.
- Provide administrative support for vendor management and track expenses related to HR programs and initiatives.
- Manage scheduling and logistics for weekly new hire orientation sessions.
- Work closely with the recruiting and HR operations teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new hires.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
- Work with HR Operations team to maintain accurate employee records and ensure HRIS systems are up to date.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; specialization in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field preferred
- 0–2 years of experience; exposure to a role in HR preferred (internship experience acceptable)
- Demonstrated interest in HR business partnership and/or engagement work
- Experience working in a fast-paced and high-growth environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across the firm
- Detail-oriented with a proactive, can-do attitude
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word); familiarity with HRIS systems (Workday) is a plus
This is a temporary position compensated at $36-40 per hour, the exact amount offered will be driven by the degree to which you meet role requirements, additional special skills and experience.
