Position Summary
- Proactively work alongside the Head of Fund Operations to develop initiatives that align with GA’s vision and priorities.
- Lead & coordinate Fund Operations activities with various functions, including line management of Fund Operations staff.
- Act as a business partner to key stakeholders across the firm.
- Serve as a single point of contact for the business teams and fund heads.
- Ensure the investment teams and senior management are regularly updated on key fund operational issues & developments.
- Synthesise complex ideas and viewpoints into coherent conclusions that can provide clear insights to key stakeholders.
- Lead the review and analysis of reports to ensure these are completed in accordance with the agreed timelines.
Responsibilities
- Support the deal teams in the smooth execution of funds flow of investments and exits.
- Lead the drawdowns and distributions process including equalisations on LP closings with support from Vistra consultants.
- Lead the preparation and presentation of materials to the cash management forum.
- Review and sign off carry workings, capacity, and other forms of analysis.
- Lead regular interaction with Vistra consultants and proactively develop streamlined ways of sharing and reporting management information.
- Contribute towards GTN management (reducing distribution times and working with service providers to bring down the cost base).
- Support the deal teams and funds heads with regular & ad hoc analytics.
- Review and sign off on quarterly reports to investors on the funds’ and portfolio companies’ performance (comprising NAV, DVPI, TVPI, IRRs, costs and investors’ capital accounts).
- Review and sign off on financial statements of funds (under UK/US GAAP/ LUX GAAP/IFRS).
- Pre-empting business needs ahead of requests from the Fund heads and collaborating with the Fund and Portfolio Analytics group in developing analytics.
- Support Capital Solutions Group with fund raising (qualitative DDQs, attending operational due diligence sessions, fund raising materials, review of LPAs and side letters) and facilitate onboarding of new funds.
- Support preparation of AIM/SAU and LPAC materials (includes playing review role of materials).
- Oversee responses to complex investor queries.
- Manage LPA compliances and side letter reporting.
- People and performance management.
- Training future managers/leaders to support the business.
Qualifications
- A professional qualification in accountancy or an MBA desired with extensive post-qualification experience.
- Sound knowledge of private equity fund administration activities.
- Sound understanding of UK/US GAAP & IFRS.
- Can demonstrate the ability and track record to learn and grasp new processes.
- Exposure to setting up new processes and controls ensuring all compliance and controls.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (particularly in Excel) and ERP.
- The ability to operate in an international team environment.
