We are seeking a Business Development Intern to support managing customer engagements, commercial operations, and strategic business development initiatives.
This role is responsible for helping keep commercial efforts organized and moving forward. You will help coordinate meetings, maintain customer and partner pipelines, track action items, prepare briefing materials, and support opportunities as they progress from initial conversations through contract execution.
You will work across business development, legal, engineering, finance, and executive leadership to support alignment on priorities and help keep critical commercial work on track. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, enjoys solving operational problems, and wants to explore a career in business development, commercial operations, or strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Support coordinating customer, partner, and commercial activities across the business.
- Help manage meeting logistics, agendas, briefing materials, notes, and follow-up action items.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, contract status, and business development activities.
- Support internal reviews and approvals required to move commercial opportunities forward.
- Help prepare presentations, reports, briefing documents, and other materials for customer meetings and leadership discussions.
- Assist in tracking deliverables, deadlines, and commitments across multiple concurrent projects.
- Coordinate with engineering, legal, finance, and operations teams to gather information needed for proposals, contracts, and customer engagements.
- Support efforts to improve internal processes, documentation, and organizational systems that enable commercial execution.
- Assist with planning customer visits, industry conferences, and strategic meetings.
- Perform other operational and administrative tasks that help the business development organization execute efficiently.
Basic Qualifications
- Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Business, Economics, Communications, or a related field.
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Strong judgment, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential information.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and modern productivity tools.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Prior internship or coursework experience related to commercial operations, contracts, legal, or business development.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong presentation and document preparation skills.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, project trackers, or similar organizational tools.
- Ability to anticipate needs, identify gaps, and proactively keep work moving without constant direction.
Additional Requirements
- Willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- This position is based in Los Angeles, CA and requires being onsite full-time – hybrid and remote work will not be considered.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range for this internship is $28–$36 per hour, depending on the candidate's current standing in school (i.e. sophomore, senior).
Interns will receive a monthly housing stipend and are eligible for overtime pay. Please note that the stated hourly range is an estimate and may be adjusted based on market conditions, business needs, or other factors.
