Summary

The Senior Manager, IT Business Systems role serves as the primary IT partner between Genetix Biotherapeutics, its hospital partners, Qualified Treatment Centers (QTCs), and internal cross-functional teams. This role owns the end-to-end delivery of onboarding QTCs—from initial IT introductions and business analysis through deployment and customer satisfaction—ensuring technology solutions enable the safe and efficient administration of Genetix gene therapies. The Senior Manager will serve as IT steward for QTC on-boarding pathways, drive stakeholder alignment across multi-level audiences, and partner closely with the Commercial and Quality teams to ensure systems and processes support the company’s mission.

This is a full-time – hybrid position (3 days a week in office) located at Genetix Biotherapeutics Somerville, Massachusetts office – Assembly Row.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with multi-level customers and stakeholders, from frontline clinical coordinators to senior executives, adapting communication style accordingly
  • Serve as the IT steward of Genetix Biotherapeutics’ Qualified Treatment Centers (QTC) on-boarding pathways, ensuring each site is fully integrated with required systems and processes prior to therapy administration.
  • Manage timelines and resources as necessary to execute IT projects and on-boarding activities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams—including Commercial, Quality, and Operations—to align IT solutions with business needs.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve standardized QTC IT on-boarding playbooks, checklists, and technical integration guides for hospital and treatment center partners.
  • Coordinate with hospital IT teams, network operations, and third-party vendors to resolve connectivity, access, and compliance issues during onboarding.
  • Maintain and establish long-lasting, productive relationships with current customers, including hospital IT departments, clinical staff, and cross-functional business partners.
  • Provide on-call support to QTCs during off-hours on an occasional basis to ensure uninterrupted therapy administration readiness.

Required Education, Experience, or Qualifications (or equivalent)

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT business analysis, systems analysis, or IT project management, preferably in a healthcare, biotech, pharma, or life sciences environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end project delivery, including scope estimation, stakeholder alignment, timeline management, and go-live support.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Analyst skills with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project) and collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, Confluence).
  • Experience supporting or managing QTC, treatment center, or specialty pharmacy on-boarding programs preferred.
  • Knowledge of GxP systems, 21 CFR Part 11, or regulated IT environments preferred.
  • Experience with identity and access management platforms, specifically Okta or similar SSO/IdP solutions (e.g., Azure AD, Ping Identity); ability to support user provisioning, SSO configuration, and access governance in a regulated environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com, including experience with CRM workflows, data objects, and cross-functional integrations.

Leadership & Competencies

  • Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively across all organizational levels—from technical teams to senior business leaders.
  • Demonstrated experience interfacing with hospital IT departments, clinical staff, and cross-functional business partners.
  • Strong risk-based decision-making and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • High attention to detail with a delivery-focused mindset.

Key Success Factors

  • Timely and high-quality on-boarding of Qualified Treatment Centers with zero disruption to therapy administration.
  • Consistent delivery of IT projects on scope, on time, and to customer satisfaction.
  • Strong, trust-based relationships with hospital IT partners and internal cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Clear and well-documented business requirements that translate into effective system solutions.
  • Continuous improvement of QTC on-boarding pathways and IT project delivery processes.

Additional Information

The pay transparency range provided below is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and long-term incentive. Actual base salary pay will be based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, skills, relevant education/qualifications, external market, internal equity, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

$148,000 - $187,000 USD
