
Windows Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Windows Engineer to take ownership of the firm's Windows ecosystem, supporting both workstation and server environments with a critical focus on trading operations. This role involves managing performance, stability, security, and lifecycle processes across all Windows infrastructure, while also contributing to broader IT initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the Windows environment, including workstations, servers, and associated systems.
- Oversee patching, compliance, and software deployment for all Windows devices.
- Ensure optimal system performance and stability, particularly for trading-related workstations and applications.
- Develop and maintain standardized workstation build and decommissioning processes.
- Collaborate with InfoSec on access controls and security policies.
- Act as the final escalation point for all Windows-related technical issues.
- Administer Microsoft Entra ID and Intune environments.
- Drive continuous improvement, proactively identify and resolve potential issues, and evaluate new technologies.
- Provide user training and support to promote effective use of Windows systems.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in Windows systems engineering and support.
- Proficiency with Windows OS, workstation hardware, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Intune.
- Demonstrated expertise in performance tuning, automation, and system monitoring.
- Background in supporting high-performance or trading environments is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
