Solution Architect - AI (Contract)
Who We Are
geniant is a fast-growing, award winning, experience consulting firm with studios in Atlanta, Dallas, London, and San Francisco. We design across digital, physical, and human touchpoints, partnering with startups and Fortune 500 companies to bridge the gap between a brand’s promise and real-world experiences. Through integrated insights, experiences, and an AI-first approach, we deliver experiences that benefit customers, employees, and the bottom line.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Solution Architect - AI (Contract) who can design a scalable production spine that moves beyond long, static prompts to a more sophisticated context management system. A critical component of the role is establishing a governed, "single source of truth" across various platforms. The project requires deep integration with the client’s existing content and development ecosystem.
This initial contract is expected to start in late June/early July and will last 6-8 weeks with the possibility for an extension. Ideal candidates will have previous technical consulting experience. Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and must be able to contract directly with geniant without sponsorship or needing a third party.
What You'll Do and Expertise Required:
AI Architecture & Orchestration
- Knowledge Retrieval (RAG): Expertise in implementing a vectorized knowledge retrieval layer using tools like Azure AI Search to manage brand guidelines, design tokens, and component registries.
- Agentic Frameworks: Ability to evolve the existing agent framework into a production-ready capability for tasks such as layout mapping, compliance checking, and brand alignment.
- Multi-Model Strategy: Experience in optimizing for "cost-aware" use by leveraging different models (e.g., GPT-4o-mini for metadata vs. GPT-4.5 for creative tasks).
Design System Operations (Design Ops)
- Token Management: Proficiency in aligning design tokens across Figma variables, NX monorepo projects, and Storybook to resolve "drift."
- Tooling Pipelines: Ability to build custom token pipelines, particularly bridging Figma variables directly into code repositories (e.g., Bitbucket).
- Governance: Expertise in defining versioning models (e.g., DS 1.0 to 2.0) and release practices that propagate brand refreshes through component libraries.
Enterprise Integration & CMS Architecture
- Bloomreach CMS: Knowledge of Bloomreach (BRXM) for designing "round-trip" capabilities, JCR access via custom "GS RS" endpoints, and automated YAML generation.
- Workflow Automation: Experience integrating AI outputs with execution tools like JIRA to automatically generate developer tickets based on page generation context or QA failures.
- Monorepo & DevOps: Mastery of NX monorepos, Bitbucket-based CI/CD pipelines, and environment management (Dev, QA, Production).
Technical Leadership & Strategic Alignment
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to co-architect solutions with client tech leads, client design leads, and client content teams.
- KPI Driven Design: Capacity to align architectural decisions with specific performance metrics such as "Time-to-Market" reduction and "Cost-per-Page" optimization.
- Risk Mitigation: Skilled at identifying architectural risks, such as context drift at large page scopes or over-reliance on non-approved custom HTML.
