  • We’re growing so we can achieve our mission to support 1 million students to become better learners by 2030.

🚀 About the role

This is a fixed-term contract anticipated until March 2027.

As our Performance Marketing Manager, you will own Genio Notes' direct-to-consumer (D2C) acquisition campaigns end-to-end. You will drive trial starts and paid conversions through structured channel management, campaign experimentation, and clear performance reporting.

You will be responsible for:

  • Delivering D2C acquisition targets: Hit monthly trial starts and paid conversion targets for Genio Notes against consumer customer acquisition cost benchmarks.
  • Managing the D2C channel mix: Run day-to-day campaign execution across paid, organic, campus, and partnership channels, making strategic allocation decisions within the defined budget.
  • Optimising campaign performance: Plan, build, and manage D2C campaigns across paid search and paid social, briefing ads freelancers on targeting, budgets, and creative direction.
  • Leading channel experimentation and growth: Design, execute, and rigorously measure structured growth experiments across emerging and underused channels, including referral loops and student partnerships.
  • Reporting on and optimising digital performance: Consolidate website performance, SEO/AEO health metrics, and conversion tracking into clear, regular, and actionable reports for the marketing team and VP of Marketing. Brief and collaborate with website agency on landing page builds and CRO test variants.

👥 Meet the team

You will be reporting directly into the Senior Demand Generation Manager (who will be your line manager). You will work closely with our Ads Freelancer, Website Agency, Learner Marketing Manager, Learner Media Unit, Commercial Enablement Manager, and Senior Content Manager to coordinate campaigns and drive growth.

👤About you:

Essential:

  • Campaign Strategy and Execution: Able to plan and run D2C performance campaigns end-to-end across organic and paid search and social, from initial brief through to detailed analysis of advert and website performance.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Comfortable working in GA4, HubSpot, and equivalent SEO/AEO and CRO analytics tools to track experiments accurately and communicate findings clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Growth and Experimentation: Proven experience designing experiments with clear hypotheses and defined success criteria, measures results rigorously, and moves on quickly from what does not work.
  • Budget Management and ROI Optimisation: Experienced in making day-to-day channel allocation decisions within a defined budget and reporting return on investment (ROI) clearly.
  • Commercial Acumen: Understands how D2C performance metrics connect to consumer CAC, website conversion optimisation, trial-to-paid conversion, and revenue, and uses this context to prioritize effort.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Exceptional collaboration skills to work successfully alongside agencies, freelancers, and cross-functional teams without duplicating efforts.

Bonus / Nice to have:

  • AI Enablement: Strong working knowledge of using AI tools to scale campaign analysis, reporting, and channel research.
