Senior Business Analyst

Role Overview 

The Senior Business Analyst (BA) drives gathering, analysis and documentation of business and functional requirements to guide recommended solutions for our clients. A Senior BA proactively conducts market analyses, identifies problems and opportunities, defines business goals, and informs the audience definition in collaboration with clients and other capabilities. They will provide data and analysis to guide the strategic vision throughout the entire project lifecycle. In addition, the Senior BA is the technology liaison - translating functional and technical specifications and interactive designs into user stories for development, prioritizes the backlog based upon the scope and dependencies of the project, and ensures deliverables meet project objectives. Additionally, the Senior BA works collaboratively with other capabilities such as Strategy, and Account Management in supporting and communicating the vision, strategy, and roadmap across client engagements. As a representative of the Technology team, the Senior BA stays apprised of interesting and relevant evolutions within the industry to best inform and guide clients and project work.   

The candidate should possess excellent business acumen, communication (written and verbal), and collaboration skills. What You’ll Do 

  • Develops relationships with clients at the lead or manager level. 
  • Participates in client meetings with clear objectives, content, and desired outcomes. Manages expectations with clients and internal teams. 
  • Works closely with clients to gather technical requirements and understands key project details and client objectives. 
  • Present to clients with a focus on development deliverables, educating clients on best practices and methodologies. 
  • Participates in new business pitches. 
  • Has a deep understanding of client business challenges and long-term project business objectives and how that ladders up to broader business goals. 
  • Gathers business requirements from client and documents them in artifacts like business requirements document. 
  • Evaluates business processes and determines how they will map both internally and externally to the digital experience platform. 
  • Distills requirements into themes, epics, stories, and tasks.  Assist in building strategy, vision, and roadmap for client. 
  • Prioritizes work across implementation workstreams in conjunction with project team. 
  • Builds project-level reporting and dashboards and presents them to client stakeholders. 
  • Approves sprint deliverables against stated requirements.  Negotiates with client stakeholders on complex decisions affecting project and business outcomes. 
  • Follows and improves upon repeatable methodology to successfully deliver digital experience builds. 
  • Manages, priorities, and maintains backlog. 
  • Participates in workshops and brainstorming sessions. 
  • Contributes to creation and maintenance of overarching sprint plan, themes, and epics in conjunction with PM, PO, and other capabilities. 
  • Guides the work of others and provides on the job training. 

 

What You’ll Need 

  • 5 years of business/systems experience is required. 
  • 3 years of demonstrated subject matter expertise for at least one area of focus (business analysis, systems analysis, product ownership). 
  • 5 years of digital project oversight required. 
  • 3 years of Agile experience in a digital experience solution build. 
  • 3 years of experience implementing practice platforms, CMS/DXP concepts, and Modern Martech Solutions. 
  • Stays up to date in practice platforms offerings, CMS/DXP concepts, and Modern Martech Solutions. 
  • Experience using task management tools such as JIRA preferred. 
  • Ability to convey advanced business requirements through documentation. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to comfortably interact professionally with a diverse group including executives, managers, technical experts, and subject matter experts. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
