What you'll do:

Thriving at the intersection of geopolitical change, IoT technology, security, and revenue generation, the VP,  NSS ensures Geotab success in the critical, emerging market for innovative solutions to complex IoT security, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Critically review organizational structure and promote changes, as necessary, to prepare for eventual mitigation of Foreign Ownership Control and Influence (FOCI) and achievement of a Facility Security Clearance (FCL), as well as other requirements, in order to *keep existing PS subscriptions and expand the “qualified market” for Geotab solutions in a strategic and planned manner.
  • Collaborate with PS business development to align strategically and “go after” the right business vs responding opportunistically and operating in an ad hoc manner.

  • Support  US Legislative Agenda. Collaborate with colleagues at EM, and other external stakeholders, to calibrate and coordinate our role in their “win plan” while remaining sensitive to other ecosystem players (especially OEM). Improve synergy with strategic communications colleagues. Assist in the design of strategic communications to preserve and enhance Geotab’s reputation with external stakeholders and US congressional decision makers.
  • Develop and deploy internal regulatory expertise. Track the developments and announcements from U.S. regulatory authorities, such as the FCC and other government agencies, as well as legislative updates regarding cybersecurity and telecom regulations. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including  Legal professionals who specialize in telecommunications law and international trade, to develop and maintain specific insights, based on the current regulatory climate, in support of NSS products and features.
  • Identify regulatory basis, and determine appropriate scope, for all NSS activities. Without limitation, track developments and announcements relating to each of the following: Department of Justice basis for Enterprise Risk Assessment; Department of Treasury Sanctions Control Program; European Union Global Data Protection Regulations, and all additional regulatory rubrics as directed from time to time.
  • Provide direct leadership to NSS AI Excellence function. Collaborate with leaders and other internal stakeholders to ensure artificial intelligence excellence permeates each NSS function; ensure AI excellence is leveraged in each of audit, core compliance, privacy, GTE, Legislative Affairs and otherwise as directed. Ensure NSS team maintains professionally-actionable-AI-competence in collaboration with training colleagues.
  • Provide local, on-site leadership support to personnel and resources in our Atlanta office.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • 10+ years demonstrated and relevant senior level experience leading teams.
  • Experience in leading programs and/or sizable projects.

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
