Geotab is seeking  a Senior Cybersecurity Solutions Specialist who will work collaboratively with different departments at Geotab to achieve security compliance, implement best practices, and mitigate risk throughout the organization. What you'll do:

As a Senior Cybersecurity Solutions Specialist your key area of responsibility will be analyzing, designing, and automating security processes, with a strong focus on cloud computing (GCP and AWS). The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in cloud security architecture and infrastructure, providing guidance and learning opportunities to the team. You will need to work independently, devising and deploying automated security solutions in the cloud, and taking ownership of strategic processes, including the change management and vulnerability management process revamps. 

To be successful in this role you will be a Senior Cybersecurity Solutions Specialist In addition, the successful candidate will have strong analytical and project management skills with an ability to identify needs, develop effective solutions, and manage projects through completion. The successful candidate will also be able to manage multiple timelines and contrasting priorities to ensure timely results.

How you'll make an impact

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Geotab's security programs and data infrastructure, with a particular emphasis on cloud environments (GCP and AWS).
  • Lead and implement security-related projects, ensuring they are executed correctly from a detailed management perspective.
  • Design and improve security processes to meet compliance requirements and mitigate risk in cloud deployments.
  • Take ownership of the change management process revamp and its ongoing management.
  • Take ownership of the vulnerability management process revamp and its ongoing management.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to identify and mitigate security-related risks.
  • Conduct internal security analyses, performing risk assessments on proposed changes within Geotab environments, particularly in cloud infrastructures, and provide recommendations on potential security impacts.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures and other relevant documentation within the team as needed.
  • Support Geotab's global strategic initiatives, particularly those related to cloud security and automation.
  • Integrate security practices into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure secure code deployment and streamlined security reviews.
  • Enhance the security of Kubernetes clusters, implementing best practices for container security and orchestration.
  • Collaborate with the Cloud Automation Team to adopt DevSecOps methodologies, ensuring security is built into the entire development lifecycle.
  • Utilize advanced security tools and platforms to monitor, detect, and respond to security threats, ensuring a robust security posture.
  • Provide expertise in automating security solutions across cloud environments, leveraging tools and frameworks.

What you'll bring to the role

  • 5 - 8 Years of experience in security evaluation/analysis and/or risk assessments, with a technology-focused industry, featuring cloud security in GCP and AWS.
  • Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree specialization in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • CISSP designation required, public cloud security certification highly preferred. 
  • Strong expertise in cloud security architecture and infrastructure.
  • Experience with security automation tools and frameworks.
  • Extensive experience working with APIs to streamline security processes.
  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or other programming languages.
  • Experience using BigQuery, SQL, and regex is highly valued.
  • In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipeline security best practices and tools.
  • Experience securing Kubernetes environments, implementing container security and orchestration best practices.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies, promoting security throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Practical experience using advanced security tools and platforms for threat detection, monitoring, and response.
  • Ability to automate security solutions across cloud environments, utilizing advanced tools and frameworks.
  • Experience in change management processes, including designing and managing change workflows.
  • Experience in vulnerability management, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating vulnerabilities.
  • High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast-changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve and make well-judged decisions.
  • A strong team player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
  • Technical competence using software programs such as Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization.
