Who you are:
We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a sales focus Solutions Engineer with technical background to become a trusted customer advisor, partnering with many different teams and stakeholders across the organization.
What you'll do:
As a Solutions Engineer you will leverage a deep understanding of the Geotab product suite from a technical perspective in order to identify and build solutions best suited for unique customer needs. A critical part of this position is to assist the Geotab Sales Teams in pre-sales opportunities and pilots.
How you'll make an impact
- Drive revenue and unit sales through new and existing reseller partnerships to the minimum expected growth.
- Coach and develop assigned resellers on Geotab solutions via in-person meetings, platform training, webinars and participation in their customer calls and appointments.
- Demonstrate and maintain advanced knowledge of the Geotab ecosystem, acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and thought leader to empower end-users and enhance their understanding of Geotab solutions.
- Establish and nurture strong customer and partner relationships, providing expert consultation on the optimal usage of Geotab's technology, products, and solutions, and tailoring the approach to meet their specific needs.
- Evaluate and prioritize customer or partner business challenges, identifying Geotab’s viability and proposing innovative alternative approaches when necessary.
- Drive engagement with the Geotab Product Teams in the pursuit of appropriate design, development, and maintenance of new Geotab products, ensuring continuous improvement of the company's offerings and staying ahead of industry trends.
- Develop and/or optimize data-driven dashboards for cross-functional use, facilitating informed decision-making, efficient collaboration, and showcasing the value of Geotab solutions.
- Provide strategic technical guidance to the resellers, addressing inquiries, resolving complex issues, and ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
- Provide in vehicle hands on support in collaboration with our engineering teams, to support new type of vehicles in the region based on customers new requests
- Represent Geotab at industry events and conferences, providing technical expertise, fostering relationships, and promoting the company's brand and reputation.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for continuous improvement within the Solutions Engineering team, implementing best practices, and streamlining processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
What you'll bring to the role
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in a relevant technical field, such as software engineering, data analysis, or systems integration, with a focus on customer-facing roles.
- Proven track record of successful customer engagements, project management, and team collaboration.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of telematics, IoT, and related technologies is an asset.
- Intermediate knowledge and familiarity with programming languages, such as Python, Java, or C#, and experience with API integrations.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques, as well as data visualization tools like Superset or Power BI.
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with the capacity to assess customer challenges and propose viable solutions.
- Preferred understanding of vehicle diagnostic systems and Controller Area Networks (CAN bus) communication protocols.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and customer support.
- A customer-focused mindset, with a commitment to understanding client needs and delivering exceptional service.
- Time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Familiarity with sales processes and experience in collaborating with sales teams to develop and deliver customer solutions.
- Ability to identify customer needs and propose solutions that align with their business goals
- Mandatory Fluency in Japanese and English (written and spoken)
