What you'll do:
The Signature Account Advisor will develop and own strategic relationships to grow existing Geotab customers and select strategic prospects. This position takes a consultative approach to nurture complex accounts and broaden the use of the Geotab ecosystem: SDK, Marketplace and Big Data. The Signature Account Solutions team is critical to growing Geotab’s enterprise business by demonstrating significant return on investment and focusing on data driven insights with its largest and most strategic prospects and customers. This highly cross-functional role collaborates with Sales, Solutions Engineering and Product to grow revenue and identify new areas of value for the customer.
How you'll make an impact:
- Develop strong, collaborative relationships with signature customers to provide innovative, valuable business recommendations around large fleet best practices.
- Consult with strategic customers on best practices in change management, technology implementation, customer experience, and other topics critical to program success.
- Drive revenue and unit sales through nurturing of existing strategic partnerships.
- Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).
- Educate and articulate the value of continual investment in the data provided by Geotab and our partners.
- Create strategic roadmaps with customers for scalability and Geotab stickiness.
- Present insights and recommendations to strategic customers and internal stakeholders.
- Utilize pilots to quantify the value created by engaging with the Geotab ecosystem.
- Conduct the Quarterly Business Reviews for all assigned customers.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all Geotab products, marketplace products, and industry trends that impact assigned vertical.
- Offer technical expertise to help close sales, assist with RFP’s as required.
- Attend trade shows and conferences to build company credibility, brand presence and identify potential new business opportunities.
- Promote and raise the profile of the Geotab solution offering, ensuring that the company achieves positive brand equity and captures market/mind share.
- Understand the competitive landscape and provide feedback and direction to Marketing and senior leadership within Geotab.
What you'll bring to the role:
- 5-7 years experience as an individual contributor in a consultative sales function.
- 5-7 years experience in consulting, business operations, or program management.
- Ability to travel 25- 30%.
- Experience in technical sales.
- Experience in fleet management, IoT devices, or B2B software.
- Experience in the telematics industry.
- Strong aptitude for understanding technical and business requirements.
- Proven track record in developing new sales and accounts.
- Able to anticipate and understand customer’s needs and provide viable solutions.
- Exceptional skills in developing and maintaining client relationships.
- Demonstrated success in accurately forecasting account and volume activities, meeting and exceeding goals.
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with delivering presentations and training.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve to well-judged decisions.
- Ability to translate technical solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization.
