Who you are:

We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Planner who will create and optimize the organization’s demand and supply plans, and maintain and continuously improve planning parameters within the ERP system to drive an efficient and accurate MRP process. If you love technology, and are keen to join an industry leader — we would love to hear from you!

What you'll do:

As a Senior Supply Chain Planner your key area of responsibility will be creating and optimizing the organization’s demand and supply plans, maintaining and continuously improving planning parameters within the ERP system, and leveraging advanced analytical techniques and data modeling to enhance prediction accuracy and address historical forecasting challenges. You will need to work closely with cross-functional departments including Sales, Business Development, Revenue Operations, Procurement, Inventory Management, Sourcing, NPI, and Contracted Manufacturers.

To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter with exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, strong communication and interpersonal relationship-building skills, and a meticulous attention to detail. In addition, the successful candidate will have deep expertise in quantitative forecasting techniques and advanced data analysis, proven ability to implement and validate complex forecasting algorithms, and extensive experience configuring and optimizing advanced planning features within D365 (or similar tier-one ERPs).

How you'll make an impact:

  • Develop and implement advanced statistical forecasting models (e.g., ARIMA, Exponential Smoothing, Machine Learning algorithms) to improve forecast accuracy and reduce forecast error, particularly in areas of historical underperformance.

  • Design and develop predictive models utilizing large and diverse datasets to identify root causes of forecasting variances and recommend corrective actions.

  • Lead initiatives to identify, evaluate, and integrate new data sources (e.g., external market data, sensor data, macroeconomic indicators) to enrich forecasting models.

  • Work closely with commercial teams to understand demand drivers, incorporate promotional plans, new product launches, and customer feedback into forecasts.

  • Optimize D365 planning parameters and configurations to ensure demand forecasts accurately translate into efficient MRP runs and inventory strategies, troubleshooting and resolving integration issues.

  • Act as a subject matter expert in optimizing the use of Salesforce forecasting functions and integrating this data seamlessly into advanced planning systems, identifying opportunities for automation and improved data integrity.

  • Develop and monitor a comprehensive suite of forecasting KPIs beyond just accuracy, including bias, error rates by product/region, and impact of promotional activities, using these metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Actively participate in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings to align demand and supply plans across the organization.

  • Develop supply plans that align with demand forecasts, considering production capacities, lead times, and supplier capabilities.

  • Propose and implement new forecasting methodologies and tools to overcome existing limitations and enhance predictive capabilities.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • 5 - 8 years of required previous experience in Supply Chain Planning or a role handling forecasting and planning, with a strong emphasis on quantitative forecasting, predictive analytics, and data-driven supply chain optimization.

  • Deep expertise in quantitative forecasting techniques, including time series analysis and regression analysis, with a proven ability to implement and validate complex forecasting algorithms.

  • Exceptional proficiency in advanced data analysis, statistical modeling, and the ability to design and develop predictive models utilizing large and diverse datasets.

  • Proven expertise in configuring, optimizing, and troubleshooting advanced planning features within D365 (or similar tier-one ERPs) to drive automated and intelligent planning processes.

  • Highly advanced Excel skills, including VBA for automation, Power Query, and Power Pivot for large dataset manipulation and complex scenario modeling.

  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes to ensure data quality and availability for forecasting models.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, present data, insights, and plans clearly and compellingly to management and other teams.

  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with a proven track record of diagnosing complex forecasting problems, developing innovative solutions, and driving data-backed strategic decisions.

  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with high accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with the forecasting function of the Salesforce System.

If you got this far, we hope you're feeling excited about this role! Even if you don't feel you meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
