Who you are:

We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking an Associate Vice President of Marketing Operations who will act as a critical member of the marketing leadership team and the architect of the entire marketing engine. This role is responsible for defining the Marketing Operations vision and strategy that transforms operational data into intelligent, revenue-driving decisions, while incubating and developing our core employment of AI and automation opportunities. The AVP’s central mission is to guide strategic investment decisions, establish performance benchmarks, and set the tone for the organization’s next phase of growth by delivering timely data and actionable insights. If you love technology, and are keen to join an industry leader — we would love to hear from you!

What you'll do:

As the Associate Vice President of Marketing Operations, your key area of responsibility will be overseeing the entire operational framework, including the technology roadmap, MarTech stack governance, and the design and optimization of revenue funnels. You will be responsible for ensuring data is tracked properly, reports are accurate, and raw data is translated into applied insights that inform senior marketing management. You will need to work closely with Finance, Sales Operations, Sales, and Global Marketing functions to maximize revenue efficiency, manage initiative costs, and ensure all strategic recommendations are reliably data-informed.

To be successful in this role you will be a strategic operator who approaches organizational effectiveness with deep passion for process and analytics, and acts as a proven operational architect who has successfully built complex frameworks from the ground up. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong analytical and project management skills with an ability to monitor financial performance trends against operational data to manage marketing efficiency and drive cost-benefit analysis. You will also be able to manage the team aspect of Marketing—keeping the team attuned to feedback loops and rowing in the same direction.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and yearly marketing planning processes and cycle to ensure we are driving towards our objectives.
  • Build and scale core tools, systems, and processes with an AI-first mindset, developing best practices across teams to share new ways of working with AI.
  • Administer the marketing budget, lead forecasting, and ensure marketing costs and ROI are tracked consistently and accurately.
  • Establish marketing reporting and dashboards for daily visual management and executive insights, comparing actual performance versus KPAs and revenue goals.
  • Develop and own the marketing operations roadmap, ensuring marketing technology is evaluated, selected, implemented, and utilized.
  • Create, implement, monitor, and enforce global lead management and marketing processes with service-level agreements.
  • Own the strategy and implementation of first-touch and multi-touch attribution designed for an account-based marketing approach.
  • Improve the data quality within Salesforce and marketing systems, maintaining database health and compliance with global data privacy regulations (GDPR, CASL, CCPA, etc.).
  • Manage and maintain the lead and account scoring model to ensure marketing is delivering sales-ready leads to channel partners and sales.
  • Engage in the development of the team by coaching, providing feedback, and identifying areas of growth and training opportunities.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • 10+ years of experience specifically leading a global marketing operations function or team.
  • 8+ years of required leadership and management experience.
  • Experience working with CRM, marketing automation, and BI tools such as Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Pardot, PowerBI and/or Google Big Query.
  • Strong understanding of the lead management process and buyer journey.
  • Experience working in a channel-based sales organization.
  • Experience with database and segmentation management including Accounts, Contacts, and Leads.
  • Strong understanding of current marketing technologies available in the market to improve conversion and efficiency, and leverage AI.
  • Strong analytical skills with metrics focused and results-oriented approach.
  • Deep expertise in scaling AI best practices and building tooling across complex systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with a metrics-focused approach and a "can-do" attitude in fast-paced environments.
  • Recent experience with ABM and multi-touch attribution measurement processes and tools are a plus.
  • Recent experience in employing AI tools and expanding best practises, both within and across systems.
  • Experience with change management.
If you got this far, we hope you're feeling excited about this role! Even if you don't feel you meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply.

As a global organization, we continuously seek ways in which we can support both our staff and our communities through programs and partnerships focused on empowering diversity and prioritizing inclusion.

We invite you to complete this optional survey to help us evaluate our diversity and inclusion efforts. Submission of the information on this form is strictly voluntary. Opting not to participate will not impact your job application in any way. Information obtained will not be associated with your name or job application in any identifiable manner. This information will be kept secure and confidential and will be used solely to evaluate our diversity and inclusion efforts. The information collected in this survey is only available to HR staff and Geotab data scientists to view in aggregated data format and not on an individual basis. Note to USA Applicants: This is a separate survey from the EEO-1 Voluntary Self Identification Form used in the United States for compliance purposes.
