LOCATION: New York, NY - A hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with company policies.
DUTIES:
Enable stakeholders to easily access the data they need to make informed decisions. Partner with analysts, engineers, product managers, and others to define requirements while remaining accountable for delivering the end data product. Lead development of data models to consume, transform, and expose data to both stakeholders and systems across the company. Collect business requirements, define successful analytics outcomes, and design data solutions. Set company-wide standards for data structure, quality, and expectations. Shape processes, systems, and tools that empower scalable, insight-driven decision-making.
REQTS:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field plus six (6) years of experience in the position offered, or as an Analytics Engineer, Data Scientist, or a related position. Must have six (6) years of experience with all of the following: Developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines that transform raw data into clean and reliable datasets using modern data stack, including Airflow, Fivetran, dbt, Snowflake, or SQL server; Developing and maintaining analytics dashboards to monitor key business metrics using BI tools (Sigma,PowerBI, Looker, or Tableau), driving actionable insights that improve operational efficiency and strategic planning; and Partnering with cross-functional stakeholders across credit risk, compliance, finance (or bank partners), product, and engineering to translate complex business needs into scalable and reliable data models and analytics. Must possess at least three (3) years of experience with all of the following: Working in an engineering role with a FinTech company; Building and maintaining dashboards tailored to business needs using Sigma as the primary BI tool; Building and scaling a modern data stack from ground up using Airflow, AWS, Snowflake, dbt, and GitHub CI/CD, enabling robust analytics data pipelines to empower cross-functional teams to make data-driven decisions; Defining and improving the analytics engineering lifecycle, including modular data modeling with dbt and Git-based workflows with CI/CD, code reviews, Jira task management, and data quality standards to ensure scalable, production-grade analytics; and Supporting multiple fundraising rounds by delivering accurate
data analysis, reporting, and insights to finance and leadership teams, enabling informed decision-making and compelling investor communications.
HOURS: Full Time; Mon-Fri (40 hrs/week)
WAGE RANGE: $243,000 - $324,000 per year
