Inside Sales Representative - Medical / Health Insurance

We welcome individuals with no sales or insurance experience – our comprehensive sales training program will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed. The majority of our clients qualify for a 100% no-cost health insurance plan, and you'll play a vital role in ensuring they find the best coverage with maximum government tax subsidies.

About the role

  • No sales or health insurance experience is needed!
  • This is a high-volume role: inbound calls from potential clients ready to enroll and outbound outreach to warm prospects (No cold calling!).
  • Guide clients during the enrollment process and help them apply for government subsidies under the Affordable Care Act.
  • Be an expert in various insurance products and help match clients with the right coverage based on their unique health needs.
  • Clearly communicate insurance plans and gather necessary information for successful applications.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to existing clients to ensure any updates in coverage or inquiries are handled promptly.
  • Work hours: Monday - Friday. 8:45am - 5:30pm Central Time.
    • One (1) night time shift is required on the last day of each month from 7pm to 11pm to ensure all policies are in effect before the 1st of the following month. This is followed by a team half-day to celebrate! 
    • 1 work-from-home day each week (after training is completed). 

About You

  • Must obtain Texas health insurance license prior to starting (Reimbursed via starting bonus). 
    • Complete a comprehensive ~20-hour online training course. 
    • Pass the online state exam (Up to 2 attempts allowed). 
    • GetScale will reimburse for training course, study time and state exam in the form of a $1000 starting bonus on the first paycheck.
  • Must be able to pass a federal background check.
  • Coachable – you are the type of person who loves feedback and wants to get good at sales.
  • Possess strong attention to detail for accurate application processes.
  • Enjoy helping people and thrive in a customer-focused environment.
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex concepts via written communication (SMS) and on client phone calls.

About the Compensation and Benefits

  • Total expected cash compensation (base salary + commission) = $40,000 - $62,000+/year
    • On-track commission = $19,200 - $41,200+/year
    • Base salary = $20,800/year
  • Paid Training: During the first 6 weeks, you will be compensated at a prorated rate of $45,000. 
    • Training is designed to help you master sales techniques and gain valuable knowledge, not to worry about commission checks.
