ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Supply Chain Professional with a background in manufacturing and planning or related field.  As the Manager, Production Planning & Data, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient planning, scheduling in order to meet customer demands while optimizing Production resources. To be successful in this role, you will be in close collaboration with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Program Management and Quality to maintain seamless production flow.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

Production Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS), aligning with sales and customer demand and Production capacity constraints
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Manufacturing to ensure executable production plans
  • Ensure ERP is driving accurate Production requirements

Material Control

  • Monitor Customer Order releases from Sales and BOM group, ensuring information flows to the organization
  • Work closely with procurement to align material deliveries with production schedules
  • Oversee Engineering Planned Changeovers (EPC’s) to meet Engineering and GILLIG requirements
  • Ensure accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) and lead-time data to prevent material shortages or delays

Inventory Accuracy

  • Drive material data accuracy and alignment with company requirements to support efficient planning and operations
  • Ensures all material movements (receipts, issues, returns, and scrap) are accurately recorded in the ERP system
  • Manage the audit of inventory records to identify discrepancies between system data and physical inventory
  • Responsible for Physical Inventory coordination and maintaining KPI’s

Team Development

  • Manage team of Planning & Inventory Analysts and the Master Scheduler
  • Increase cross-training to enhance workforce flexibility
  • Provide training and develop succession planning strategies to prepare future leaders in production control

Coordination & Communication

  • Act as a bridge between Sales, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing, ensuring alignment of priorities, constraints, and smooth execution of production plans
  • Lead production control meetings to review schedules, constraints, and action plans
  • Manage Extended Warranty purchases and ensure adherence to customer specific contracts
  • Coordinate and document large rework and or sub assembly projects

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of production control or manufacturing planning experience
  • Successfully managed a team in a similar role
  • Experience in low-volume, high-mix manufacturing, highly preferred
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Infor or similar)
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Capacity Planning
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Strong communication skills to align cross-functional teams
  • Assignments are complex and broad in scope, requiring outstanding creativity, superior initiative, judgment, and leadership

 WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer
  • Regularly required to sit, stand and walk and occasionally kneel or squat
  • The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Must be able to navigate manufacturing environment, comfortable around heavy machinery, tools, etc.
  • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment, (i.e. safety glasses, bump caps, hearing protection, etc.)
  • No Travel Required
  • Start time: 6:00 AM

EXPECTED COMPENSATION

$75,000 - $275,000 / annual salary + premium benefits  

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job classification, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment.
